Sounds like Freight Runners Express has added two new Saab 2000s to their fleet, in addition to their current fleet of cargo/passenger Embraer 120s. These get a heavy workout during college basketball season, so I'm sure they will be in the mix. They base them out of MKE and sometimes SGF (https://www.ch-aviation.com/portal/news ... -saab-2000). Meregrass also operates 3 Saab 2000s heavily on the basketball circuit, based out of Quahadi Ranch, Texas, so we'll likely see those 3 heavily involved in the charters this season. First charters for the games of the season should start next Saturday/Sunday, hopefully

That was I was thinking, at least part of the last leg was thought to be the Central Michigan charter to COU; I was monitoring the MBS to COU route (based on the previous Central Michigan CFB charter that ended in STL), but with a smaller team size compared to any CFB team, it would make sense to take a smaller plane that can take off from a small airport that doesn't require a longer runway.

One more that I missed from yesterday. Haven't seen anything for tomorrow's slate of games as of yet, but there might be some charter trips later tonight for teams that bussed or flew commercial to their first game.

You're exactly right, and they flew out on a Meregrass Saab to Provo earlier in the week. I had searched for the reason for the ABQ-PVU flight earlier in the week, found it but got mixed up with UNM being at Colorado and not BYU.

Indeed, it is! I’ve been surprised with how much action they’ve had this year. Pretty much only flew TCU last year due to the AFW base, but they’ve now got 4 737-700s, including two former ConocoPhillips Alaska frames.

On the other hand, I’ve noticed quite a few iAero classics headed down to Las Palmas Air Base in Peru (SPLP) over the last few weeks, which is where iAero and Eastern do a lot of their maintenance. I’m sure that the maintenance costs on some of these classics is beginning to grow substantially.

I think it's neat to see patterns among these things being a math guy myself, and it's also helpful for seeing the changes from last year.
