Is this livery realy paint or are it just stickers on a euro white aircraft. if needed it could quily be changed to the colors of a other group member as they are all with the same base euro white.

I was a bit curious about what A.Net think of this livery, and it didn't disappoint since I guessed correctly it would be the same argument that were used to criticise the new LH livery. I'm The kind who like simple livery and enjoy eurowhite. I do like the circle on the tail and nose and that they're in different color.

The Brussels emblem of the angel stabbing a devil with his spear would have looked wonderful on the tail.. better idea for a livery than these rando dots. When my Sims get sick they also get dots like that.

I cannot unforget this! Whenever I see an SN employee at the airport, I will have to hold myself back from saying, "Your plane has caught the chickenpox..."

It's painted, no stickers.

Btw, I've heard the top of the wings are also painted white. Not sure if this is common?

LH paints the top of their wings white. Or at least they did with their old livery, not sure if that changed with the new one.

Not a popular opinion, but I really like it. It’s a departure from the plain eurowhite trend, and imagine a load lined up at the terminal, will look pretty fresh and modern.

This is a good view of the new livery. Except it is the wrong airline, wrong airframe, and has been submitted from "Brussels, France"!!!

LH painted the top of the wings white and the bottom grey on their former livery (as was the fuselage). On their current livery, everything is painted white (top and bottom).

Looking at it now, It isn't as bad as some have made out, I love the text of the Brussels on the scheme (However a non capital "B" is frustrating me).

One A330 AOG in Ireland and small fleet.

JFK is the easiest to reroute passengers through partner airlines, thus often canceled.

The new livery isn’t so surprising when you consider it came from a group that trashed Lufthansa’s truly iconic yellow circle on the tail. It seems the emphasis of all of these group liveries is to blend into the background and make sure their aircraft don’t stand out. That’s what happens when you have a group of euro-white airliners at a large airport with various splodges and squiggles on them.

And the "Deutsche Bahn" (German Railway Association) tried to compensate for all bland airline designs by painting all their regional trains like fire trucks for the past 25 years :hot: :hypnotized: :

https://hellertal.startbilder.de/1200/ein-420er-langzug-bzw-zwei-466651.jpg

A pain in the eyes and also for any design taste to see thousands of trains painted like barrier tape. This really couldn't grow on me, not even the slightest bit in those 25 years.

So, whenever anyone dislikes a new eurowhite airline liveriy, just click the link above and imagine you look at 20 of these at the same time at a big railway station.^^ You will probably prefer ANY new livery (even JAL :) ), at least for not being obtrusive.

BTW, I really love the new SN livery, also thanks to the white wings! Clean, fresh, modern, and yet not a boring extended colored tail. IMO the best within the LH group so far, concidering that "Belgian identity" doesn't have to be the first priority here, as discussed above.

Have to say that this livery certainly is a grower. Looking forward to seeing it on an A330.

Dottels Airlines.

Brussels region has a nice flag that could have been used for a much better CI.

It's definitely one of the more original Eurowhite liveries, and it looks modern and fresh on the A319 (yet atrocious on the A330).
It's OK I guess. It looks modern but doesn't really say anything about Belgium. Those meaningless dots are also a copy of Croatia Airlines' Coat of Arm squares.

I had it show up on Google Flights the other day and I think the dots look good in digital uses, and I think the last few photos show that it looks fresh and modern in a variety of lights/situations. This one is growing on me quickly (with a caveat that it's a very "neutral" brand rather than Belgian)

Ha - this.

It's a lazy, boring, dated design with no meaning and no impact. Maybe that was the design brief? In which case, mission accomplished.

I realise the 'Sabena' name doesn't have the best history in terms of service standards etc, but a shame there isn't any avenue to revive it. If I were Belgian living outside of Brussels, I'd expect my national carrier to reflect that in some way, or at least not be so explicit in its attachment to one city.

When some says “It is one of the best 'eurowhite' liveries out there”, this is saying this the best of a very bad bunch of liveries. I can’t see a euro white single livery out there that’s either attractive or comes close to a coherently designed livery.

Honestly this livery just doesn’t make sense and says nothing to me. It’s not completely horrible but it’s bland and lifeless.

SN strikes me as the perfect 339 (maybe even 338) buyer. Which it would still look good on :)

What is the significance of the dots? What do their constellation signify (if anything)?

It looks like a product you could buy in the pharmacy. Wrong associations. I wonder what message they are trying to convey. Perhaps the public relations department has issued a statement or not? Clearly this is not an airline sign.

This is what is stated on the website (https://press.brusselsairlines.com/brus ... d-identity)

"The new brand identity includes a new version of the Brussels Airlines signature red and blue colours, now a deeper red and a darker shade of blue. The dotted “b”, which today adorns the tails of its fleet, makes way for 9 dots of different sizes in the form of a square, to represent the diversity of its customers, its destinations and its employees. No dot is alike. The updated logo also makes use of a new, more modern type font. The two words of the brand name are now stacked, with the word “brussels” gaining more importance with its larger size to emphasize the airline’s Belgian identity. The new aircraft livery, shows a zoom on the dotted logo on the tails, a fresh white body and a continuation of dots in different shades of blue and grey."

During a recent visit to Copenhagen Airport I saw all three liveries up close. To me they looked pretty good. Certainly not worse than the previous colour schemes.
