Happy new year, guys! Thanks for that thread.

As a follow-up to last year's, regarding my question about the many test flights and user RoyalBrunei757's post with the picture of an SQ A350 used indeed for testing… (sorry, I don't know how to link to another thread)

In that picture, we see a red window seal connected to a wire connected in turn to a panel on the wing-to-body fairing. Is that fairing panel the one that had its mesh apparent in the QR case?

They operate 4 already (including the 3 SriLankan rejects now leased from AerCap, and one from ALC).
You probably mean B-325J (msn 550) is the first they ordered/bought direcltly.

Mod Number 115156

MTOW: 283 t
MLW: 207 t
MZFW: 195,7 t

283t is 3 tons more than the highest MTOW I was aware of until now.
This can be a significant upgrade for ULH operations, with roughly half an hour of additional endurance.

Anyone noticed the numbering from VW000 till VW020 went increasing by one? And now, we have VW023 variant, but no 021 and 022. Actually, in TCDS there are two blanks. Two more weight variants?

Anyone dares to take a guess?

I also noticed the gap, but it looks the WVs are not necessarily sequential based on when they are added to the TCDS. Here's what I was able to put together for the 359 based on the revision notes at the bottom of the document:

WV010 - 27 June 2018
WV013 - 26 September 2018
WV016 - 12 March 2019
WV018 - 15 May 2018
WV023 - 02 July 2019
WV019 - 09 Aug. 2019
WV006 - 12 Nov. 2019
WV017 - 26 June 2020
WV020 - 04 January 2021

The 35K also currently has gaps at what would be 003 and 005-008. I'd love to know the rationale behind this.

Quite right. I would make a guess WVs are allocated based on day when WV works started. Some take more time to make it into TCDS, some less, and that would probably explain the time difference.

Based on that, Airbus might be working on WV021 and WV022. Sounds plausible at least, I guess.

That variant seems essentially obsolete with this increase, otherwise.

Heck, SQ has now been flying the standard A359 on SIN-LAX nonstop, longer than they did with the A359ULRs.

Anyone know when DL is going to get their new order A359s from Airbus? I know they are supposed to have 44 aircraft in the end state. They currently have 18 in service, 9 used aircraft coming from LATAM and a lessor. This leaves 17 new-build aircraft left to be delivered.. Anyone know when these 17 are going to be delivered?

...and will they be the new 283T version - which should help finally cover any remaining shortfalls from the 77L retirements.

The Airbus spreadsheet I’m looking at shows Delta as 25 A350-900s ordered, 15 delivered and 24 in service. For LATAM it shows 13 ordered , 13 delivered and 2 operational. Very confusing but will eventually become clear, presumably.

As noted above, DL has twenty A350-900s on order from Airbus. Two are due this year. The remaining 18 are due 'after 2023'.

DL pulled ahead some A330neo deliveries in 2021, but not A350s. See the SEC 8-K and Annual filings.

DL’s assumption of LATAM’s order is still listed under unidentified on Airbus’s order spreadsheet. That is why it is saying DL only has 25 orders (that is the original DL order)-that’s all that have been identified by Airbus. We all knew the UFO order is Delta because the 10 UFO ordered early last year occurred in the same month that LATAM cancelled 10 A350s, and DL/LATAM had previously communicated that DL was assuming 10 orders.

Why Airbus has not identified this order I do not know, DL is quite open about it’s existence. The only reason I can think of is due to various financial options DL may have used DL might technically not be the legal owner of the 10 planes order (but will be the operator).

25 original order + 10 new taken over LATAM order + 7 used leased from Aercap (ex-LATAM) + 2 more used announced after = 44 planes.

Both 533 and 539 were "Delivered on Contract" in December but, as usual, not on the dates AIB Family shows, they just make some wild guesses.
They were delivered on the 14th to AIR LEASE CORPORATION (AIR CARAIBES) and on the 15th to AIR LEASE CORPORATION (FRENCH BEE) (sic).

No definite timeline has been given by Turkish Airlines. They have reached agreement with Airbus n which certain "undelivered orders have been rescheduled in line with the airline's operational and financial capabilities", based on last news update. https://www.ch-aviation.com/portal/news ... deliveries
