The OEM will provide a 3rd party with access to inspect the aircraft and related documentation. This may / may not include acceptance flight/s.

The contract includes a process for customers to accept delivery, which starts up to 90 days before the aircraft will be ready, requiring the customer to provide details of their customer acceptance team.

Some airlines and lessors use third parties. Both Aeroflot and Qatar have traditionally used a combination of their own staff and 3rd parties.

QR have taken delivery of 53.

MSNs 409 and 430 have been built and completed but QR refused to take them so they have been cancelled and Airbus is free to sell them elsewhere.

I think MSN 438 is (or soon will be) in the same situation.

MSNs 440 and 444 have flown but are not yet finished and ready for delivery.

Nine more MSNs have been announced for QR and some must be in various stages of completion but they haven't yet flown.
