Not sure if this really belongs to the neo thread, but K5-Aviation has just taken delivery of an ACJ 330-300. Is this the last ceo delivery apart from MRRTs?

Airbus officially delivered this plane last December. There are still 4 UFO A333s to be delivered. These are all HNA group NTUs built a few years ago.

and they will never be delivered to the HNA Group because they can't even keep up their payments on their A350's.

HNA officially cancelled them at the end of 2020 (or maybe it was 2019). An unidentified customer bought them at the end of last year.

This is MSN1907. Built for Hong Kong Airlines, first flight 2018-11-21.

Now in it's K5 livery. https://www.flickr.com/photos/shanair/51867497407/

Yes, I didn’t mean to say that there are already 2,000 A330s. The MSN-numbers include the A340s, if I am not mistaken.

1,527 A330 delivered including January 2022.

But if you look at MSN, than you have to add 377 A340 too and that makes 1,904 A330/A340 frames delivered. 96 missing to finish the 2,000.

Do your figures include MRRT frames and test frames.

Not that it will be enough to bridge the gap - but it will get closer.

It may well be the last delivery but strangely Airbus still has 20 ‘ceos’ in the unfilled orderbook, 12 x -300s and 8 x -200s. These are in addition to the 8 x -200s orders for MRTT conversion

What?

You're saying that we should count A330s and A340s as a single type? Seriously? Do you know what you are saying?

But...

That would put the A330/A340 ahead of the 777.

That can't be right.

Surely.

Geoff

Those are the 4x UFO A333 discussed earlier, 8x CASC A333, and 8x Iran Air A332.

I would expect only the 4x A333s to be delivered, as they are already built. IR will probably renegotiate all their Airbus orders (and Boeing MoU) whenever they can get planes again. Who knows what will happen to the China (CASC) order (cancellation or conversion that is).

The MSN's include the A340 (380 built), the MRTTs but also 65 numbers are skipped (not built/will not be built), so that means A330 production is around 1565 now.

The difference between the A340-200/300 and the A330-200/300 are the engines, tanks and an additional middle MLG, in the same fuselage, with the same wings.

380 A340s were built, 377 delivered (prototypes + the EY A340-600 that got destroyed during a ground test). There were a few A330 prototypes as well.
All those were assigned MSNs.

Apart from the DL ones, are there any other A330neo with type C doors? (Thinking of delivered aircraft, not prototypes)

So...the numerous test flights of KU's third A330-800 has finally resulted in the certification for its 251T mtow version.....

The article appeared briefly very early this morning but now seems hidden unless you search outside of Flightglobal's site. Now, for the million :dollarsign: :dollarsign: :dollarsign: question; "Who would sign first on the dotted line for this new, IGW variant" :?:

Kuwait of course getting the first one. I assume they have signed on the dotted line. 8,150 nm is the promised range.

So it seems like Condor is also taking Garuda frames now, so far there was only the confirmation about the three Air Asia ntu's.

So it seems like Condor is also taking Garuda frames now, so far there was only the confirmation about the three Air Asia ntu's.

Condor would take every A339 which is cheap and preferably fast available. And as Airbus has lots of A330neo ntu, Condor won’t have any problems getting these frames.

With the prices of fuel increasing the savings will be even larger. Of course a dire economy world situation would also deter people from traveling.

There are not that many already built and available. If Condor takes 7 in the near future, they will have cleared out all the A330-900 white tails.

The delivery flight is routed westwards this time. Can't use Russian airspace now.
