Housekeeping notes, from the financial reporting side. Both Boeing and Triumph made their reports to the public and analysts, for the quarter that ended December 31, 2023.
Boeing mentions 747 once in the press release:
https://seekingalpha.com/pr/19093905-bo ... er-results
in the delivery tables;
747 never comes up at the analyst call:
https://seekingalpha.com/article/457236 ... transcript

Triumph never mentions 747 in the press release:
https://seekingalpha.com/pr/19102208-tr ... 23-results
And a couple of times only, in the analyst call:
https://seekingalpha.com/article/457426 ... transcript

So they've all washed their hands off the program, and even though the books are not fully closed, at least until this current quarter is through, the companies and the analyst community seem to have moved on.

On the pending deliveries front, do we know when Egyptian government's SU-EGY is due for delivery?

It's already been delivered, It's just getting its VIP work done at Lufthansa Technik in Hamburg.

Thank you both! I guess I should have been more precise -- it is of course legally delivered by Boeing, but sometime from becoming operational. Do we know, when it's back in the skies, after outfitting?

Hard to say due to the complexity of the fittings the Egyptian Govt requires. Other heads of state wide-bodies usually spend 1 - 2 years at HAM or BSL.

It might spend the same time. As customizing things for this aircraft is bit tough work

And was done with extreme foolishness. If I was the owner of that company I would have had some words with them after this and the conversation would have only had two words.

This aircraft - is now in PAE. Only flight that it has had since delivery. Is it returning for warranty work? Or, is it a revenue run? Flightaware - https://flightaware.com/live/flight/N863GT

Several sources indicate that the return to Paine Field is for a ceremony.

"I can confirm that Atlas is bringing this 747 back to Everett for a ceremonial event before official entry into the fleet and there are no issues with the aircraft.", see : https://mobile.twitter.com/AirlineFlyer ... 1344888838

"At the delivery event on Jan 31st, the Atlas CEO said the aircraft would be coming back "in about 10 days" for its formal handing-over to Apex / Kuehne & Nagel. Looks like this is that event.", see : https://mobile.twitter.com/PWolfsteller ... 5501068293

Boeing recorded LN1574 as having being delivered in February. I had the impression the transfer of ownership had taken place on Jan 31, with the fly-away on Feb 1, but that was incorrect, because the delivery is formally recorded in the month of February.

May I request 747classic to please, when possible, add to this thread his details of LN1569 to LN1574. Frames up to LN1568 are detailed in the early posts of this thread from 2022. Thank you in advance for keeping records of and posting that level of meticulous detail of the entire 747-8 production run as a reference we can all consult for the future.

I know this is not a 747-8F thread but I have read somewhere UPS is buying two 747-8F freighters from Qatar. Qatar is replacing them with two 777s which will be delivered in2024. At that time the two 747-8Fs will be turned over to UPS. I am curious if the ten or so 747-8Fs that Air Bridge Cargo that are stored in Moscow will be returned to the lessor or stay stored as Gate Guards. One was reposesed in HKG anf flown to VIC or MHZ and is still stored there.

VQ-BFE was seized at HKG at March 01th (just after the invasion of Ukraine), stored at HKG 1-25 Mar 2022, stored at SBD 25 Mar - 14 Apr 2022, stored at MZJ 14 Apr 2022 - 25 Jan 2023, Ferried MZJ-BGR
Bangor International (BGR / KBGR) -BRU 25-26 Jan 2023 , at PEK 2 Feb 2023 for Maintenance
Leased by Hongyan Group from Altavair AirFinance (lessor) to be operated by Air Belgium (OE-LFI)

All 15 ABC 747F's (12x 747-8F's and 3x 744F's are parked (stored ?) at SVO and will not be available, perhaps after the Ukraine-Russian war will be over and sanctions have been lifted.
Also all legal procedures (lease not have been paid during the endurance of the war) have to be completed.

Dear Fanatics! I am looking for contributors to edit my own Boeing 747 tribute webpage. I started collecting all the data and information about the fleet back in 1991 when I was 16 years old. I have found many valuable contributors over the years. I would like to continue the work, but the amount of data does not allow me to do it alone. If you feel the determination to sacrifice your own free time and complete partial tasks under my guidance, please contact me. The website currently contains a fraction of the processed data, but I welcome comments with the intention of improving how I could make it more perfect. Proficiency in Excel and knowledge of the English language are definitely required. Knowledge acquired in website editing is an advantage. Thank you!
