Hey VCVSpotter, your posts are the reason I'm on here, so figured I should give you a shoutout in my first post! Thanks for all the info you provide.
I found a little information on the 737MAX8. F24 showed the registration so I was able to find that it's going to Shanghai Airlines eventually. https://boefamily.flights/registration/N5515X

Temp storage pending maintenance. MRO shops are backlogged. This has occasionally happened with other B752, B738, A319 that have been put into temp storage until can be slotted in for maintenance.

Minor correction: it looks like it ferried VCV-KEF. Quite a long time for a 738 at 8h 17min flight time. Are they able to fly that long with an empty cabin and "stock" tanks or were aux tanks added for the flight?

SBD moves aircraft around a bit; there are sometimes, but not always, ex-ANA jets parked near the fence outside Unical's hangar at the end of Harry Shepard Boulevard. However, a lot of the registrations have been removed, so identifying a specific frame may not always be possible.

Seconding what Newark727 said, SBD likes to move around their jets a lot compared to other boneyards (MHV), so you have a higher likelihood of seeing it up close; however, all identifying marks are often removed so it'll be difficult or impossible to tell the jets apart.TWA302 wrote:Looks like N140SC finally got dusted off for a quick hop today.
