Its US3 legacy in the front, and ULCC in the back.
Nothing exciting or earth shattering about it.
Its an A321 with more fuel efficient engines. Thats it no more, no less.

Completely agree. After all it's an A321, meaning which probably took down a widebody/

From which cities? Are these all from BOS? What routes are you seeing them on?

Two flights between BOS and SFO start on May 20th. The other cities listed have it added on flights between August and October. All to/from BOS.

Not in the DL fleet. These really don't have intercon range, and if DL is operating a widebody on domestic routes it's because it has spare widebody capacity or wants lie-flats on the route. The 321neos in domestic F config are 757 replacements, and, indirectly, A320 replacements; plus growth.

I assume MRO work, as MCI isn't typically an end-of-life facility......
Ship 3209 is going to MCI for some time consuming structural work. The real estate in the ATL hangar is too valuable to tie up a spot that long.
That sounds expensive for a 31 year old bird. You'd think a paint chip would be reason enough to retire it.

How are these indirectly A320 replacements? Upgauging?

Interesting SAN and DEN are new routes entirely. SFO goes from 2x to 3x daily.

That also jives with the 75 S to G mod firing up in late '23.

How much do you think DL is paying for the used A350’s I would imaging 9 of them is well north of a billi
on dollars. With that money and the money they paid to update the 777’s interiors. I wonder if they are regretting dumping the 777’s. I imagine if they needed to expand the wide body fleet the 777’s cost much less than the A350. Im glad to see other carriers snapped them up even if some will become freighters. As opposed to them being stripped for parts.
They have zero regret on the 777. It's been noted internally they're enjoying 22% better fuel burn on the JNB route which is huge. Even with the payload issues, it's been a money maker on fuel savings alone. The synergies with MX and pilots is just icing on the cake.

Yes, although this is a long term trend that affects every newer airplane, not just the 321N.
Just compare it to when the 757 entered service in the early-1980s holding about the same number of people. Delta and Eastern configured the 4-door per side version with a full forward, mid, and aft-galley. 6 FAs did the service, 2 for first from the first class galley, and 4 for economy splitting the cabin in half and working it out of both the mid- and aft-galley. United introduced the "supermod" configuration, where there was only a half-galley mid-cabin, and that was considered very tight because all the tray carts had to be stored aft.
Today, on both the 739 and 321 at AA and DL, you work everything out of 2 galleys. That is really tough for your first class folks, as the 2nd FA up front can't run beverages and coffees out of the mid-galley, which made the service go way faster. Bottom line is I thought the 757 was pretty tough to work with 182 pax and 6 FAs when I flew for United. Now you work the 321N with 194 pax and 4 FAs.

Which ULCC has PTVs on every seat?

They have now loaded the 321neo seat map for DL 1202 BOS-SFO. Still no 321neo under 'Our Aircraft.'

With this RTS, how many 717s will be in service?
