I think this is a problem across the industry. I'm seeing Christmastime flight price drops like I've never seen before.

The prices of flights for the holidays have been pretty crazy. I think a lot of folks looked at those fares and said nope.

CLE can likely support B6 nonstop service to JFK if B6 has extra slots available at JFK, and the other B6 cities in the Midwest (ORD/DTW/MCI/MKE/MSP) already have B6 nonstop service to JFK.

Does B6 have any extra slots available to add CLE-JFK nonstop service? Would B6 be able to undercut the US3 on NYC-CLE fares if B6 CLE-JFK nonstop service is added?

CLE-JFK has never attracted many passengers. Having worked and watched that route since 2005, I can’t imagine anyone flying it for any reason besides keeping slots. Breaking even on an RJ is a serious struggle, nevermind putting 140 seats on it and really nevermind “undercutting” fares.

I can see B6 flying CLE-LGA through their NEA arrangement. Not JFK.

I don't know how well JFK-MCI is doing (I just know it's performing better than BOS-MCI), but I would think JFK-STL is probably in the plans somewhere by now.

B6 should've done this around the same time Mint was originally introduced. "Mini Mint" (a name I came up with for this hypothetical offering) would allow B6 to have an answer for the domestic premium products offered by their competitors on some of the busiest routes.

surprised this hasn't been posted. My guess is that B6 is taking over LGA-ATL from AA. Not sure if that means some of the other flying are going back to AA.

Has B6’s operational performance and reliability improved recently? I haven’t heard much in the way of operational problems with them in recent months.

Yes it has. The weather has also been extremely cooperative.

It’s has definitely improved but it’s still very poor compared to every other airline. The latest consumer report published still shows us at or near the bottom in most metrics.

That is an incorrect guess. They will both fly the route together.

That’s my worry. I’m on the MCI-JFK flight on Thursday and the forecast is snow and wind. Worried about a cancellation but don’t have much flexibility.
