I have no clue what they are actually agreeing to here (or talking about doing together). But it is interesting. Guess they're playing it close to the vest.

I haven't seen this discussed, but it's no secret: who is going to take over the operation of the Connie 767s? Nine airplanes is going to be a big pill to swallow.

It looks like DHL just gave ATSG an expansion for 767 ops that run until 2028.

DHL transferred the last of 18 B757-200Fs from DHL Air UK subsidiary DHL Air Austria.

I also saw on Feb 22, DHL commenced service directly linking Vietnam with the US on a 777 with a weekly SIN-SGN-NGO-CVG flight operated by Kalitta.

Looks like we have an answer to the top-up order for 6 B777Fs a few days back, with 5 to be based in Singapore for the new DHL-Singapore Airlines partnership. 2 to be delivered in July and October 2022, with the final 3 in 2023. These will operate to destinations in the US via North Asia.

Actually must be from the 2021 order for 8. This week's order won't commence delivery until the second half of 2023.

N396AN, to be N322CM but probably to be exported before getting that registration, is sitting painted in DHL colors at ILN. This is the last of the 20 ex-AA 767-300s that ATSG purchased for conversion. It was at TLV 5/4/21-1/18/22, then back to the US and into paint at ROW 1/31-2/16/22. It will be leased by ATSG's leasing unit, CAM, to DHL and apparently operated by DHK (DHL Air, UK).

The former N399AN has also been leased by ATSG/CAM to DHL. It has been operated by DHK at G-DHLC since 10/14/21.

So what's up with N342AN? This was one of the 8 767-300s that DHL bought from Jetran, after the latter acquired them from AA. The 8 newest ones were the ones that DHL bought. DHL sent them all through conversion, some at MEX (IAI/Bedek) and some at QPG (ST Aero, a BCF touch-maintenance contrator).

This one was the last of those to be converted, in this case by IAI at MEX. It flew to SNN after conversion, and stayed there until 3/3/22, when it flew to RME (Griffis ANG Base, Rome, NY). There used to be a significant commercial MRO there (Premier Aviation), but I don't believe there is now, so why it's there -- and why it's not in service -- is a bit of a head-scratcher. It was originally expected to go to DHX (DHL Aviation ME, Bahrain) to operate. (There is a military C-130 overhaul contractor that took over the Premier hangars, which were originally built to work on B-52s. That operation is pretty new even though they call themselves "world-class" -- but unless they're planning to branch out into commercial work, I don't think they're the reason this ship went there...)

Looks like N396AN will be moving to CVG this afternoon (3/14/22) from ILN. We had thought she was going abroad, and she is flying to CVG under her tail number, so that may still be the case.

Is anyone aware of any resources that would show what DHL's route network is? I was tracking a package and noticed that it scanned in Leipzig, and then locally here in Ontario, Canada (typically YHM, I think), which surprised me as I have normally noticed packages routed through Cincinnati when going overseas. Does DHL have a direct link between Toronto and Leipzig?

Yes, Cargojet has been operating LEJ-YHM-JFK recently.

This doesn't bode well for Kalitta, ABX or Atlas.

They’ll be fine. They’ll probably fine new roles within the DHL network or they can always go with a new customer (Amazon)

Don't think it means anything bad for anyone.

Cargojet already operates 12 aircraft for DHL, and taking a financial stake in a provider is not a new thing for DHL.

DHL simply spreading its flying out, see the recent Singapore Airlines deal for 777 operations.

Its not like its other US providers have much free capacity or crews sitting around to pick up added DHL work at the moment.

364CM did an ATB to CVG today after airborne for 42 minutes squaring away an issue. Landed 27 with fire trucks rolled. Towed back to ramp.

With the transfer of three B767-300Fs, Kalitta Air will no longer be CMI partner for DHL on the B767 platform.

In ROC,DHL has changed things up. It used to be Kalitta Charters II 733 or 734 (occasionally a 727!) ran CVG-ROC-BDL,sat all day @ BDL and returned at night. Then they changed it to CVG-ROC,sit all day in ROC nad go back to CVG at night (how boring for the pilots). Now,they run the 737 CVG-ROC,then back to CVG in the same morning. There is now a Kalitta 767 that routes BOS-ROC-CVG at night (of course for pictures).

N390CM is back from paint, and is now in DHL colors with 390 on the gear door. That tells me it's going to a North American carrier. I'm guessing ABX to operate.

N391CM is at CVG from conversion, as of today, 6/3/22. Presumably will be going to paint soon; likely also for DHL.

I think that's going to depend of the day of the week - BOS-ROC-CVG on Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday, BOS-CVG on Monday/Friday

Indeed. It's either Kalitta or Abex.

I saw DHK502 CVG-NGO climbing out over my house on the 20th, operating with 777 G-DHLY. Since this is operated by DHL Air UK, is this a Fifth-Freedom flight? Curious how this is allowed.
