Interesting question since their 737s are ok'd to operate in 5G areas. Longer term, isn't it just a matter of time before the E175s get the ok? Will the fact that some are Horizon and some are Skywest make a timing difference?

I thought the buffer airports were locations where the FAA had received agreement from Verizon and AT&T to delay turning on band C 5G antennas for 6 months for a certain radius around the airports.wedgetail737 wrote:The forecast shows the fog to be moving out starting tomorrow (Wednesday) afternoon...hopefully.
The forecasts have not been handling the current inversion very well, at least at my elevation.
Sunday was the one I paid the closest attention to - even as late as noon, it still called for partly sunny and a high of 47. It remained completely fogged over for the full day, with a high of only 37. The following days have been similar.
It's been consistently expected in the 1-2 day forecasts for the fog to start burning off by mid-day, but the foggy conditions seem to keep hanging on. Even when the wind picked up for a bit last night, it didn't blow the fog away like it usually does.
At least right now, for once, I finally see some sunlight breaking through the fog, for the first time in 4 days, but just 2 hours before sunset, when the fog is forecast to return.
In short, visibility has been very persistently terrible this week, and looks like it won't get persistently better until the weekend.
