Wow. Not that you should ever do this, but if there is one place in this world I don’t want to, it is TLV. To this day, I tell the story about the interrogation I got departing out of there with a bottle of wine that had friends name written on it. It. Was. Intense. To say the least.

I remember when we went on a battlefields tour of France and Belgium in school (a long time ago). The farmers would still be digging up unexploded bombs and would leave them on the side of the road for the bomb disposal people to deal with.. We were warned not to go near them and told that occasionally tourists would go up to them and kick them or try and pick them up..

Sems a whole family was hard working on the Darwin award. Still they have failed, to erase their part of the genepool,

Have I seen it correctly? There were the run marks on the two rings on the shell, so it has moved through the barrel? So it is not just an unused rotted shell, no it is a dud? So something, which can (regarding the reason, why it has failed), already explode on slightest movement? Which will likely explode, when it is dropped? So with a slightly damaged detonator on the top?

Hard working family, to get the Darwin award....notabe notation status reached...

Looking at the video posted to twitter in the JPost article, I think TLV needs to review their evacuation procedure. That evacuation looked chaotic and probably more dangerous than the shell itself.

I'm curious why they didn't just trigger the fire alarm. It is something that people are a bit more used to, and still gets them out of the building. That is what my middle school did when we had a bomb threat, although it was a bit weird because they herded us off to a soccer field that was further than our usual assembly point.

Activating the fire alarm is a great thought, but it would be ineffective in the US. At my local airport, when the fire alarm goes off and the recorded announcement tells people to evacuate the building, everyone just goes about their normal business. No one reacts. People seem to take things more seriously in other countries.
