Anyone know why it is taking so long for Aeronaves TSM to receive some aircraft? They remain undelivered for months but remain owned by Frontera Flight Holdings. It would be great to see more DC-9s flying!
It looks like Aeronaves TSM is expecting a "duke's mixture" of 28 "new" aircraft soon, including 11 B737 Classics, 6 DC-9s, 1 DHC8, 7 CRJs & 3 MD80s. I wonder if some of their "new" DC-9s will keep flying, or become parts donors? The youngest (50.4 years) flew with the US Navy until 2016 as a C-9A "Nightingale" VIP/Medivac aircraft so it probably doesn't have too many cycles, or hours compared to the ex-airline birds.
