Are there any German naval vessels in Hawaii now to be resupplied?

Yeah, as soon as I posted, I realized it was a go-around.
So you're saying that the ADSBExchange shows a round-trip flight from Hickman to San Diego, then back to Hickman?
If so, that's interesting if (as you suggested) it might be a resupply flight. One would think it would have landed at a military base, which would have military hardware easily at the ready to onload. Presumably this would be civilian-style cargo? Food?
...Anyway, if it was a roundtrip flight: What else might we surmise?

Any chance is it related to publicity with the new Tom Cruise movie release?

That's possible. Germany will send 6 Eurofighters, 4 A400M and 3 A330MMU to the Pitch Black exercise in Australia this year, and the journey there is supposed to be a rapid deployment exercise. So this could be some kind of preparation.

stratable wrote:That sounds like one heck of a journey. Any educated guesses on how many hours/days it will take to get from Germany to Australia with all the in-flight refueling and tech stops?
