I’m not sure DL has a suitable plane to operate that route when you take into account Russian airspace diversion.

DL to AKL or SYD or BER?
LATAM?

EK (or DL resuming ATL-DXB) actually seems somewhat possible, but I think most of Oceania is very far of reach for most anything in DL's fleet. ATL-SYD is a good 15000km which is about the range of an A350-900 but if winds change, I think that could be trouble. Not to mention they can't carry with full payload or any meaningful cargo.
LATAM I wouldn't count out either but I think DL may want to see how JFK-BER does before thinking of ATL.

True, didn't they just reinstate STR? Then HAM would be a great addition

- Service Resumption
- International

Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a packaged summary of a bunch of route resumptions for 2023.

When did DL last fly ATL-HAM? I remember flying it in early 1998. 767-300ER, of course.
I don't even know what would properly count as a 'big' announcement at an airport the size of ATL. Routes come and go all the time.

In a tentative ruling, Delta and United have therefore each been allocated three weekly frequencies between the US and South Africa, thereby allowing them to launch their respective ALT-CPT and IAD-CPT routes.

In the current political environment, a "big" route announcement for ATL would be something to sub-Saharan Africa. I don't think ATL-LOS is coming back anytime soon due to issues with convertibility of naira, so it would seem ATL-CPT is the logical answer.
