Cyprus Airways unveils new livery

Larnaca-based Cyprus Airways has unveiled an updated livery for its two new Airbus A320 aircraft as part of its re-positioning and new business plan launched this year.

The new livery is not really a major change . 5B - DDR is the first to get it . I do like the mouflon on the engines though .

Uninspiring, but it's alright.
Much preferred the A319 livery, but glad they kept the mouflon from the original Cyprus Airways.

Looks a hundred percent better than the old livery but those titles are still not it.

It's hard for me to say that I like this better than the classic blue and gold livery that CY used to have, though I never thought that the old livery looked particularly premium. From far away, the new colors look too light and can make the plane look dull compared to other aircraft. I've always thought the use of rich colors was a better idea for almost any brand, and when you're an airline, it's one of the top ways to differentiate yourself. People should be able to spot your brand in the sky, so the new scheme doesn't really cut the mustard.

I actually liked this one out of the older liveries.
Good old days of the A310's.

it's fine. I'm happy to see them exist. It's never gonna be back to the Trident & 1-11 days, but it's still something.

A really nice improvement of the initial livery.
I didn't like the shade of green used on the fuselage and the oversized olive tree branch.
I'm surprised they're re-using the logo of the previous Cyprus Airways but I didn't know it was a national emblem.

The yellow goat behind the cockpit has gone.

The Mouflon is now on the engine cowling .
Through this is just a cost saving livery simplification on a leased in aircraft

And it’s a wild sheep not a goat

On a random side note - I recall see a show growing up in the 90s on Heathrow that always featured the Cypris airways rep at LHR - anyone any ideas what it was? That older livery just reminded me of the show

The tail is a marked improvement on the old livery. I fear the titles up front may me a smidge too lean and might not be entirely legible from afar.
shame they didn't paint the engine cowlings in that night mid green they use for "airways". I reckon that would really set the design off.

By Eurowhite standards it’s decent.

One of the few instances where the switch to Eurowhite is actually an improvement. Looks better and the tail especially looks nice.
