The DL8904 flight from BMG-RDU scheduled for later tonight shows as canceled and the same aircraft inbound to IND is now scheduled to fly DL8905 IND-RDU. Not sure why it's diverting. Weather in BMG looks fine. Clear skies and light wind, same as we have here in Indy right now. They came into BMG on a 738, so a 717 should have no issues with the 6500' primary runway.

I couldn’t crack the code on this one until I figured out that it flew DL8904 ATL-RDU-IND (or was supposed to be BMG). So, the ferry was actually ATL-RDU, and 8904 is the flight number for UNC WBB. They’re playing Indiana tomorrow in Bloomington. So, RDU-IND was carrying the women’s team. I’m guessing they are staying in IND, so that’s why the flight went into IND. It’s taking UNC MBB home later, so I guess UNC will just have a late departure after the bus ride to IND. Very Strange though, not sure why they didn’t do the drop off and subsequent pickup in BMG, seems like hotels would be the only good reason for the drop off in IND

It's interesting for sure. Bloomington to Indy isn't the greatest drive right now with the I-69 construction, though I-69/SR 37 is at least open all the way through unlike last year. The flight path looks more or less like it was headed to IND from the start, though it's hard to tell.

It does look like a ferry from IND-BMG was scheduled under DL8904, which was subsequently cancelled. Maybe, it's a timing thing at BMG with FBO staff too? The game is pretty late for an east coast game. IND-RDU is schedule to depart at 1:45 AM local. BMG would shave at least an hour off of that departure time.
