Airport Madness games in general. I also love flying in GTA V.

Me too!

It was a bit limited with only a few cities you could fly from-to, 4 airlines to be made, and you could only launch routes from hub cities (no point-2-point, no focus cities) also you had a limited set of liveries to choose from and their yellow cheatlines looked horrible on their Boeing 727.

BUT it was 1993 and that is the only airline game they had on the SEGA Genesis!

Otherwise, I was only 21 and 1993 was an AWESOME year!

As a kid, I only had the original on SNES. Some years later, I found the Sega version of Supersonic to play with an emulator on PC.

1942 and Choplifter were a staple growing up. Afterburner was another great one, especially when it was one in the moving pod, it was pricey though, 3 quarters instead of the usual single quarter. Played Steel Talons a lot as well.

While not a video game, Flight Control HD was a simple, yet entertaining app.

I literally remember when I was around 6 or 7, that game kept me entertained for hours. It's literally dragging planes to the correct colored runways, but it's just so addicting!

Yeah I definitely played this on an emulator when I was in like high school. It was really cool for the time.

Infinite Flight has always been appealing to me, although I compare them to a ULCC since they charge money for EVERYTHING.

True, and they really need to fix their A380, 717, and C17.

They announced recently that the 380 is the next aircraft they’re gonna rework.

Assuming you're not talking about flight simulators:
I haven't tried the Tower series by FeelThere but it looks very cool.
Also, I used to play this airline management game, Airline Empires, in my free time back in school. I'm sure there are better ones out there today.

I grew up on the likes of FSX, Jane's Fighters Anthology (on my father's old Windows XP PC), GTA5, and Ace Combat. As for the different mobile games, I always found the Rortos made games were the highest quality on the mobile market.

As for current favorite, has to be hands down MSFS 2020. The game runs really well on both my PC and Xbox Series S, and despite it's settings flaws, I actually find myself enjoying it more than the rest of the current day Flight sims like X-Plane, Aerofly, and Infinite.

Is this the place to mention that I remember playing the original SubLogic Flight Simulator running on a 48K Apple II?

Lots of love for FSX and MSFS2020 but I've also played Airline Empires for ages, probably a decade at this point and still love that game.

It's super in-depth and I feel like I honestly learned a lot about what it takes to manage an airline in terms of the complexity, and the game only scratches the surface! That said, I love being able to take an idea of an airline biz and see if you can make it successful. Ultimately though, once you've figured out the mechanics of the game, it becomes less about the game itself and more about pulling the right levers... "Playing the game" and it gets a little stale after that novelty wears off. Nonetheless, I keep returning to it because it feels like a dream

I remember that game. Played it for a bit until somebody decided to hack into the game and target certain people that they didn't like, making it impossible to play the game since the hack resulted in many routes being made with a loss of $50,000,000,000,000+ a day.
