As best I can tell, five (5) planes originally intended for QR have flown and will therefore need to find new homes.

Probably getting ready to delivery the aircraft elsewhere. They won't just magically be ready without anybody noticing them in Qatar airways colors. Plus, usually Airbus does not re-paint aircraft.

I have had a look at the Airbus December 2022 O&D table: looks like MSN 571 for Sichuan Airlines was already delivered on contract on 2 Dec, but MSN 557 for Starlux is a January delivery. Then the totals match last year's thread.

MSN 036 Qatar Airways A359 F-WZGE/A7-ALL, delivered SNN->TLS->DOH after being stripped to primer, then ferried for cracking inspection/repairs, and then presumably followed by a complete re-paint (not confirmed but logical):

A7-ALL is the frame that suffered the most damage due to inappropriate paint stripping. Treated as a special case in the legal dispute.

I wonder if Airbus has found way to retrofit it's new copper foil system? Maybe patch repairs using it?

The link you provided simply shows "Engine run and taxi test" at TLS on 19th, no flight back to DOH. The plane's been at TLS since 5th Jan 2021. No flight tracking sites that I've looked at show such a flight.

A7-ALL is the frame that started all this paint dispute, as it was in SNN for repaint when the seriousness of the defects were discovered. Airbus has since used this frame for detailed investigation and hopefully a cause and solution found.

These frames are originally meant for Qatar Airways. They won't be going there. Aircraft don't just sit around either. They need to be flying on a regular basis to make sure all is still working.

The first MSNs are known, 704, 719 and 722. They are not built at exact number order as we already found out, but I expect the first being built within a year, flying mid 2024, still EIS in 2025 is ambitious.

The two prototypes will be MSN 700 & 701, entering FAL mid 2024.

Thanks to you and ArthurC for the responses. Although the MSNs are not exactly aligned, it sounds like FAL will be in mid 2024 and EIS target tough to get, but we'll see

I believe 4 are flying. 23 were left on order... 19 were canceled from the backlog..
