Before the Max8 joined the fleet, AC had two A319s certified to ETOPS 120 standards to fly the YYT-LHR route after the YHZ-YYT-LHR 767 became nonstop, YHZ-LHR.
You are correct. They were reassigned to the Rouge fleet and no longer maintained to ETOPS 120 standards.
However, AC and Rouge do have some A320s and A319s certified for benign Caribbean operations. Think of it as a light ETOPS 75. Including those two A319s. If you didn’t know the FIN numbers, a passenger could identify them as their safety cards are labled A319M as opposed to A319, (or A320M).
