Lol, he just picked a random small city. Lots of people on here laughingly read way too much into random comments, I didn't expect you to as well.

I got an email notice from Spirit of a "schedule change," that the is now departing over 24 hours later on Sunday 4/9. Unbelievable that their first offer was to either accept the changes or a credit that expired on May 15th, 2023! After starting a chat and getting no response I successfully was able to get a full refund after posting this in Twitter. Spirit is really bad, this was flight cancellation that they were trying to code as a schedule change to get people to accept credits or just switch to Sunday. It is really confounding to me that they would cancel an RSW to IND flight during spring break. It had to be full considering the fair I was paying. It was almost embarrassing how high a fare we paid for Spirit - lol - but Southwest is super high that day with many flights completely sold out weeks ago!

"At American, given our history and our results, the next new destination – that sexy dot on the map isn’t sexy to us unless it’s going to make a lot of money. Sexy for us is profitability. And so for us, in our network, we have a lot of strength in our domestic network"
"Many customers are willing to pay a little extra for, not have to take a connection on American when on the competitors they would"
"…For us, when we have to make tough choices about where we’re growing we’re going to choose the domestic and short haul international network…"
“The airline bloggers…won’t be as excited about that sixth trip from DFW to Indy, that sixth trip from DFW to Indy is what we’re going to be earning a profit on instead of going to some speculative destination in Europe or Asia"

Your thoughts? I flew out of IND to PHX on AA and it was packed there and back.

Huh cooling off?
As I posted above, AA summer capacity is up 15% YOY.
While it might be lower on the list for capacity, for departures (outside of AUS/BOS) IND is one of the top stations

Interesting to see that DEN now is almost neck and neck for MCO in the summer in terms of O&D demand to a single airport at 570 (DEN) versus 600 (MCO).

Largest metro is NYC (combined LGA/JFK/EWR) at 760 PDEW
Los Angeles (all airports) was 443 PDEW

DEN being that high is surprising to me. MCO not being #1 also a surprise to me.

It's stunning that IND doesn't have a transatlantic yet....I live in Amsterdam now and my options are rather limited and extremely expensive.

I own a dump truck company, and we have been at FedEx Hub IND for over 1.25 years now. Great to see the big expansion here!

Summer 2024 - A battle between IND and KC on TATL service?

Given that IND has already successfully pursued and achieved TATL (pre-Covid) and MCI hasn’t (I don’t count Iceland) + IND has access to more incentives being the primary city in the state (KC competes with STL); I give the nod to IND landing something first. Full disclosure I am an MCI native too

KC is putting together a $10 million incentives package. Is that not enough?

Doesn’t that assume the state of KS matches the 5MM that MO made available?
