Seeking perspective/info
Wondering how different types of airlines have done in the last year . Here in Asia notice that
1. Most national carriers that did not revive some form of bailout wheat completely belly up ( Garuda , Thai , Malaysian , Philippine ) ; while those that did survived
2. In recovery - long haul , wide boast heavy seem to have done relatively well ( Singapore , Turkish .. don’t know emirates ???) ; whereas narrow body heavy ( air Asia ?) seem to be suffering .. is there a thumb rule that folks are seeing across the world
3. Interesting Discussion with someone the other da who felt that given premium Demand , low cost carriers will convert front of plane to premium - on the other had , personally I see all those carriers actually doing rather poorly ( malindo/batik) - about brand equity I would imagine … thoughts
Would love ti get some critical appreciation for airline performance by business model / dependent through second half of 2022 and onward tk 2023. Thanks
