That was my thought as well:
- as this would be a high demand route for Arajet (and with their business model, could really feed connecting passengers with a fantastic option)
- it would fit with their recent expansion drive (and/or providing some of their higher yields that they might need to add soon on the O/D, apart from filling the aircraft with connecting passengers).
- it would allow South Florida access, at decent costs (versus MIA).
- it is a decent aircraft utilization route (with not needing a long stage length for the route).

Another reason Emirates moved was the yields at FLL were lower than their other US gateways. FLL makes sense for an airline like Condor or French Bee.
