JSX is so tiny, they'd need over 100 more planes to fly all of that. They cater to a very niche premium market, which makes it hard to expand and grow revenue. Midwest Express had similar problems years ago, and they simply had fewer seats per plane. JSX really needs to focus on its core markets while adding only 3-4 markets a year. If they had a frequent flyer partnership with a major carrier, it would also help since many people who might fly JSX get perks due to status.

You can book JSX on the JetBlue site and get credited miles.

While totally true, the JetBlue site doesn't always display all the JSX flights for a particular route and the ones it does display can be substantially more expensive than booking directly with JSX. TrueBlue isn't a quality enough FFP for me to pay extra or take a subpar schedule to get some points. Hopefully they hone the partnership in the future.

Status on JetBlue doesn’t mean a whole lot compared to the big 3. If they had a big 3 partner that offered redemptions on JSX, it would definitely help.

Would a 170/175 fully configured with lie flat seats be able to do transcon flights while still keeping the load at 30 seats?

I tried it and it didn’t work. When calling up each carrier they blame the other one.

That's interesting - I've used it several times AUS-DAL without issue. Just booked at JSX and put in my United number.

United does as well, and sent out an email to all MileagePlus members back when it started.

DOH! Sorry for restating the obvious. That's what I get for skimming over posts.

I think the 170 is too much airplane for them. Even with lie flat seats(could you do 1x1 lie flats in an EJet?), I’m not sure that they could earn enough of a revenue premium to make that work.

How does it work when I book a JSX flight on the United app? I know I get miles, but I don't get PQP and PQF right? Does it need to be a JV partner to earn PQP?
