Have You Ever Been Stolen On A Plane?

Thu May 02, 2002 7:13 pm

I am just thinking about. What are you doing with your belongings if you are flying alone and you have to...

Have someone been stolen during a flight?

I have never been robbed on a plane and I do leave my belongings at my seat as I walk around. I am sure it has happened. I generally feel safe leaving things at my seat since there are so many people around and would hinder people going through your belongings.

I have been robbed in a First Class airline loungs. Had my ticket, money and passport taken from my bag.

As the Rogue Trader once pointed out so clearly, economy class passengers have no belongings to speak of, so there isn't a problem.
Premium class passengers just wouldn't do such a thing!
But, seriously, I've heard of several instances of items being stolen from belongings when they have been put through an x-ray scanner at peak times, when there is a large number of people waiting to claim their carry-onbags, etc. And, no, it wasn't the other passengers who were alleged to have stolen them.
cheers

Yeah, someone stole the pillow and blanket from my seat once. Turns out it was the little kid opposite from me.  Smile
Its better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air than be in the air wishing you were on the ground. Fly safe!

My heart was stolen once on a flight. The wench still won't return it either.

By the way, if you have to.....what?

Ow! Gotta go before I get hurt. Refer to the "wench" statement.
Oh hell, I'm in trouble now. I have to retract that statement. (She think you all are reading this as I type). Susan is not by any means a wench. She is a fine upstanding member of society with a heart of gold.

Good enough honey?

IMissSteve!  Laugh out loud

Once, I put my blanket between my seat and the bulkhead. The guy sitting behind me grabbed it after a few minutes. I didn't mind, tho, because he sleped the whole flight!
Someday, we'll look back at this, laugh nervously, and then change the subject.

I left a hat on the plane once, but that was stupid carelessness, not theft. I feel pretty safe leaving my stuff in the overhead bins when im traveling alone, but I always carry my passport and cash on my person just in case.

I lost a bottle of tax-free whisky on a plane once,
when I flew with Air India and my luggage was lost and found someone nicked a pair of sunglasses in it....
