Short-Haul International Service

I will be traveling Miami-Puerto Plata(Dominican Republic), La Romana(D.R.)-Miami. I leave this Thursday and retrun next Monday. It is American Airlines on a 727-200 both ways. On the way there we get dinner, the flight departs at 6:55., but the return is is simply snack. Can I expect somewhat better service from AA since it is an Internatinal flight or is it no better than a domestic flight?

In general, are most airlines better in their shourt-haul yet international flights? Would service on KLM from AMS to HTW be up to par with the service you would see AMS-JFK?

I ask you all to please pray for the members of my High School Key Club since we will be travelling to perform inmense service, I look forward to telling you my stories when I return.

HTW= Heathrow (?)

London-Heathrow is "LHR"

Well, it depends  

No...AMS-LHR is totally different from AMS-JFK. Most of the intra-European services are very nice (compared to US domestic services), but they do not compare to their inter-continental services. Caviar fruit, six entrees one or two, Dom Perignon 'domestic', sleeper seats 36" pitch (even in business class), etc., etc., etc.
