NW 753 To Replace DC10 On DTW-SEA Runs?

Thu Aug 01, 2002 11:06 am

I'm wondering if the new 753s will be replacing the DC10's currently used on 2 flights from DTW-SEA and vise-versa, particularly flight 281 to SEA from DTW. Does anybody know when this will happen?

Well, right now you're getting one 753 roundtriper DTW-SEA. You still have one DC-10-40 roundtrip until the end of the summer schedule on 9/2/02, when the DC-10-40's will be retired. NW is only taking delivery of one more 753 before then. I believe its going on a MEM-MSP-SEA routing, or something like that. Nevertheless, those DC-10-40 trips will become a 757 route. Likely a 752 for now, but more 753's as they come on line over the next year.
