I'm posting this on behalf of a person related to Finnair but who doesn't have an username here.
"I think Finnair WAS pretty happy about that CityBird plane, because it's going to be the one starting service for Finnair... Finnair is planning to open Osaka again, two more weekly flights to BKK (don't know if HKG and SIN is also flown on those two flights), New York daily, Beijing daily and Tokyo will get more flights... That's what I've heard.
And what I have to say about the speculation about the follower of MD-11, is that the discussion is pointless. Those Finnair MD-11s will serve AT LEAST another 10 years, because of the plane's outstanding range when taking off at MTOW, and because of it's outstanding freight capacity... MD-11 is the best long-haul airplane ever made...
P.S And Janne, why wouldn't Finnair have been happy with the seating configuration?? It can always be changed..."
