744 At PDX

Mon Aug 19, 2002 11:54 am

This afternoon after I left PDX I saw a 747-400 landing. It was about 2:30. Any idea whos it may have been?

Cheers.

Clickhappy,

You saw a Cargolux 744, flew in from SFO at around 1:30pm and left for Luxembourg at around 4:30.

My mistake, the Cargolux flight did arrive at 2:40 (not 1:30).

Flyboy80

I'm a student @ UO, though I'm home in the bay area for the summer. I'll be back up in Eugene mid September, we have an apartment right across from Autzen (stadium looks great btw). Maybe someone will actually come out to Mahlon Sweet and spot with me.

Any other Oregon guys?

George

Probably was the Cargolux plane as everyone else has noted. Unless you're up real late or realy early you won't see the KE plane (03:10...way too early/late). Speaking of 747s and PDX....President Bush will be in PDX this week (I think he arrives on Thursday) so Air Force 1 wil be around...gonna try to get a pic or two.

Oregon, yep, work at the airport, live on the approach/departure path. Drop me a line sometime (mails in my profile).

Tom

No one else is going to chime in from Oregon? Maybe a fellow UO student lurking somewhere? That would be kind of trippy.

oh well, a poorly disguised *bump*  Laugh out loud

Live near Hillsboro. Doesn't the Cargolux plane also operate on Sundays?

Korean Air Cargo?

Korean Air Cargo 747F stays in PDX between 0200 to 0600.
