First 747-400ERF Photo

Fri Sep 20, 2002 5:52 am

I emailed the screeners but I guess it isn't newsworthy, but I dig Cargo planes, and I busted my butt to get the shot (Boeing security wanted to keep my camera  Sad ) so I wanted to share.

Nothing like a clean white cargo jet!

Fantastic picture.

It also has the Skyteam sticker on the front too which is nice.

So shiny and clean! Good for Air France.

Looks very much like the B744F, but hope it's a start to the new B747, even it goes on sale airline by airline!

Royal... you hiding in the bushes?

What ended up happening with security? They threatened to keep your camera? Yikes!

I parked on (what can barely be called) the shoulder of a highway, hauled a$$ up an embankment of about 60 degrees, and waded through some bushes to get at the fence. Security was watching me from the other side of the freeway and came tearing over, threatning to seize my camera unless I deleted the pictures I took, so I deleted them all  Smile

The picture you see must not have been deleted from my camera, I don't really know what happened  Big grin

744ERF is flying to Chicago and Mexico City, according to Cargo Timetable.

AWspicious lifts his (500ml) beer can up to the monitor and announces... "Cheers to Clickhappy! You're a good man... Risking it all for the team!"

So, is there really any law against what you did?

Clickhappy .. the Boeing people have no right to demand you erasing the pictures as long as you are outside the fence. They have no juridistiction there. But what they CAN do, is hold/block you until a traffic cop book you for illegal roadside parking ...
I've been climbing that hill myself, without being caught ....  Smile
However the Boeing people can be nasty .. I'm in their records for 'trespassing' at Renton, and they warned me that they would turn me over to the cops should it happen again, regardless being at Renton, Boeing Field or Everett ...
But they can not touch you as long as you are outside their fences... Challenging them could however cause more trouble than it's worth, though ...
