Anybody Want To Live In A 727?

Tue Nov 12, 2002 11:07 am

I'm really not sure what to say about this. It has to be seen to be believed I guess...

I would LOVE to live in a 727. Although I would rather purchase a brand new 717. That way I could run the engines and still be able to sleep in Air Conditioner. And still save alot of money in the long run.

Even more amazing is that the online sales literature mentions that "we also have widebodies in our inventory." No specific types are mentioned, however.

I love it...make mine a 747SP! I bet this sucker would violate a few building codes here in California. Big grin I would REALLY like to see if this could be done...looks like he's serious. Is this guy crazy or what?

I saw something like that on TV a while back- it's not really new. That one was missing the wings, avionics, and about everything else, though.

Why do they seal the doors shut? Can't they leave them so if you want a breeze, you can open those too?

Yeah, I'd love to live in a 727!- I'd prefer an L-1011, though- bigger & better!

Actually, a 747 is about as wide an MUCH longer than most homes. I'd consider it a luxury to live in one. I'd try to run FS2002 into the cocpit tho  Smile

HGTV (Home and Garden Television) had an "Extreme Homes" episode a few years ago about a woman who lived in a 727. IIRC it was in Florida.
Had a jacuzzi tub in the cockpit.

Woah. Looks a bit dangerous perched on that metal thing ... I would live in a plane ... if it was on land .... I'm a snob though, so it'd have to be a 747 ... seriously, what's the cheapest you think you could fit a plane out to live in ...

A 747 would have something like 4,600 sq ft. of floor space for living according to an article on airplane homes I saw a few years ago...thats pretty damn big, bigger than my house!

There is no picture of a real aircraft.
This guy is looking for his first customer?
Will it really be more hurricane-proof than a brick cube house?
If it was allowed, I'd like to have one though.

is a real ex-olympic 727 flown into KHIO near PDX. I caught a climpse of it during transport.
