Wed Mar 05, 2003 6:26 am

Anybody have any guesses on who and when we might see a new airline here in the windy city?

I guess that Privat Air (under behalf of Lufthansa) will fly soon with the BBJ (or ACJ) from DUS to ORD.

I'd put my money on jetBlue, although I'm not sure when as they've kept pushing back the start date. Look for them to serve ORD.

Well my guess is QANTAS, as they are starting flights thrice weekly via Los Angeles

It will not sure which one with the terminal at ORD yet. So you have wait a little patience until to hear for announces began nonstop from JFK-ORD near of the future. I will let you know if I hear got anything of the news releases into the www.jetblue.com. OK? Thanks!

Regards!

My guess is that any prospective new entrent into the Chicago market
will wait and see what happens to United before going in. Gates, etc. may end up being cheaper later than they are now, especially if they are offered in a Chapter 7 firesale. Also, if United lives, it could be a much more formidable competitor with new labor agreements, etc.

But I could be wrong, especially if Jetblue has been planning this for awhile and needs the Chicago traffic to feed other routes....

QANTAS will more than likely be placed in T5 as is oneworld partner BA. Last I heard JB was looking at Terminal 2.
