My guess is that any prospective new entrent into the Chicago market
will wait and see what happens to United before going in. Gates, etc. may end up being cheaper later than they are now, especially if they are offered in a Chapter 7 firesale. Also, if United lives, it could be a much more formidable competitor with new labor agreements, etc.
But I could be wrong, especially if Jetblue has been planning this for awhile and needs the Chicago traffic to feed other routes....
