Airframe hours

Thu Dec 24, 1998 3:26 am

Does anyone out there know on average how many hours a brand new commercial airliner already has on it's airframe upon delivery?

Every plane is different. I think that the 737 is about 2000 hours before it needs to be inspected. Also on the Transponder post earlier I have found many mistakes but not every is as smart as me. HAHA ( just joking folk's)

What mistakes???

Do you want to share with us the mistakes in the transponder post?
That's why I like this forum, to discuss topics and learn with that.

The only one I noticed was that it's 'Golf', not 'Gulf' - very minor difference. I'm sure 'Gulf' wouldn't cause any confusion.

The phonetic alphabet's used quite widely outside aviation as well. The military use it and the British police use it but I noticed in my few visits to the States (and from TV) that the US police seem to use their own version.

Oops, what happened to airframe hours?...
