Favorite Airport Restaurant/Bar

When traveling is there any restaurant/Bar in particular you eat at frequently?

My top 5.

1.) Bella Boston in BOS
2.) Goodie Goodies in ROC
3.) Cinnabon (just about everywhere)
4.) Asian Chow in LGA
5.) The Budweiser Bar and Grill in JAX

Let me know, I plan on doing some traveling this summer.

Yeah, the Budweiser Bar/Grill at JAX is pretty good.... I eat there for lunch when I'm volunteering at the airport (we get a $10 meal voucher every four hour shift).

I frequent the bagel place in between AA concourse H and G at Chicago as a halfway point between the AA to Eagle connections.

The only good thing about AA's dropping my usual route (STL-JAX) from MD-80 to ERJ's is that the gates at St. Louis (D40 or so) are closer to Pasta House at D26, so that makes for good carry-on dinner since I can no longer look forward to upgrading on the route and being fed on the airplane.

There is a restaurant in the Lincoln, NE airport on the upper level in between the two security checkpoints with great breakfasts and a view of the ramp and runways. I forget its name, but I used to go there sometimes when I lived in Omaha.

As it is frequented by me during travel, I will mention a great Italian restaurant called Roma's. It's a family owned place (attached to their house) off of Orange Blossom Trail toward Apopka (northwest of Orlando). A visit to Orlando isn't complete without dinner there. It's not convenient for the theme park tourist brigade, but during my monthly Orlando trip I never go south of the Beeline anyway (stay up in Altamonte Springs usually, or by Florida Mall).

Encounters @ LAX in the theme building-very expensive but pretty good food and GREAT viewing.

I second Kwbl -- Encounters at LAX is top notch. Worth every penny (for the view, the food, and the atmosphere -- very groovy '60s lounge).

The Billy Goat bar and grill at ORD. Its in the UAL "C" concourse in the eating pavilion next to C20. Very good food.

13 Coins, directly across the street from Sea-Tac. It's about a 5 minute walk from the terminal, if you have the time.

The Conch Flyer in Key West is not too bad. You can try some of the local specialties while waiting on your flight.

There is this place in DTW that makes wraps. It's excellent!

There's Figs in LGA which is pretty good too.

Yeah, Figs is pretty good. I've been there twice in between flights. It's got a great view. The price was reasonable for a restaurant of its type at an airport as well.

Perhaps this doesn't count as a 'bar" - but the Qantas Club (for F or J class) in SYD is about the swankiest and most glamourous I've ever been in.

The JetRock Bar & Grill ther is one in B and C and a new one in D. Gotta have thier Buffalo Chicken Strips at least once a week.

FYI in a strange airport try to see where the employees go. They know the best places.

I like Asian Chao in the Term B/C food court at PHL...yea its fast food but its far and away the best fast food Ive ever had in my entire life...almost every trip I take from PHL I grab bourbon chicken and white rice from there beforehand...

A good old Chicago style hot dog from the new food court at MDW
Theres a fantastic sports bar and grill at MIA thats really good too. Sorry that i can't think of the name

Milltowne Grill at Manchester NH (MHT) is good, but not in the "Sterile Zone"
JFK Terminal 3 doesn't have any attractive eateries...they all seemed fairly primitive (FYI)
It seems like people here like Pizza, Pasta (Italian Food) or American Chow.
any observation deck is good......bring your own food, drink, and good times.

at sba, there is a restaurant on top of the terminal that has a great patio overlooking the a/c apron, on the other side of the terminal is the elephant bar which in any airport out west is known for food and atmosphere. i agree with asian chao out in phl, whenever i fly to phl 3/4 times a year i always hit that up.

The steak escape in Term. A at EWR does a great made to order breakfast sandwich or wrap. Several of the cooks there remember frequent flyers and airline employees and just say "The usual?" when we show up.

Chi-town, I noticed that there on Saturday. I think the best I've been to is Luigis Pizzeria at MDW, or the Paris Cafe at the TWA terminal in JFK when it was still open.

Cheers at CVG is pretty good. When they are landing from the north, you can see the landings going in on both runways, and you can easily see a lot of the Delta action, in addition to all the action of the other airlines at CVG from the non-smoking area. Whenever I have a long layover at CVG during dinner, I always try and go there, the food is pretty good, average priced, and worth it.

Flying Tigers at KBUF...you are next to the active most of the time...Plus, they have phones at the booths which are tuned to ATC. Good food, too...military theme throughout the place...there are some old army vehicles out in the front of the restaurant. Not attached to the terminal.

My favourite airport bar no longer exists, unfortunately!!! Sad

Atop the Regal Airport Hotel at Hong Kong's KaiTak Airport. There was no other place in the world with such amazing views! Landings at KaiTak were legendary. I miss that bar!

The pizza place at ORD, I think its called Wolfgang Peters, or something like that. Located in B concourse. Very good pizza, they have a woodburning oven right there in which they bake the pizza.

The Place IS Wolfgang Puck's. He owns Sago's in LA. In Chicago you gotta go to the Asian Chao in the C food court get the Orange Chicken. Top Notch. There is another Asian Chao in PHL that's been mentioned already and still another in the D side of the concourse at IAD.

Another great place is Philly Steak and Gyro Co. There is one in the B/C food court and one down the concourse in C.

Legal Seafood in BOS is awesome.

94th Aero Squadron at VNY. Best views of the action, especially on a weekend... folks rolling right by you.... admittedly, all GA, but occassionally the P-51, Hawker Hunter, or MiG goes out. Smile

New Orleans Legends in MSY (in the West terminal) is a great place. The restaurant features dishes from a different N.O celebrity chef each month.

Also noteworthy, Legal SeaFoods in Boston Logan...some of the best "Chowdah" I've ever had.

Sparro in FLL (Delta)... the airport had had a lot of problem with its food service, so it was Sparro and a bar open when I had to be at the airport every Friday for 3 months! Great food! (i think they used to have a burger King, if anyone has been ricently, what has happened to the food court?)

These's this one bar on the second level of the main terminal in LGA that is nice. Nice view of the runway intersection, good beer and waitresses with big ----s make it a wonderful place.

I gotta get one of their numbers or get their picture on this site to show you.

I agree UAPHLCS on watching where the employees go in the airport to eat. But it is tough when visiting a hub. Because you see the TSA at every restaurant. Large crowds of them.
