Digitized Livery Photos? (Part 2)

Tue Aug 12, 2003 7:29 am

Sorry, I had to start a new one for quick loading purposes. Here is the link to the original thread:

https://airliners.net/discussions/general_aviation/read.main/1128805/

I'll repost my first edit, which was not a big one. A Delta 737-800 if Delta decided to get the winglets package (you had to copy and paste)

http://www.geocities.com/bigphilnyc/DL737winglets1.jpg

I made a few others, but I am still waiting for permission from the original photographers to post it.

Ok, continue.........

Any requests? Any pics to post?

A C17? Wow, that's tough. I'll try it. I need time though. Maybe someone else will go for it too.

Here is an ATA 767 I made. I know Mike already did it, but oh well.

Two probs with my pics. One, you have to copy and paste the link. 2, you might have to save it onto your comp and then view it so it doesnt look pixelated.

First comment- Everybody's doing an awesome job on these things! Mike....incredible job!!  Big thumbs up

Taken from the first thread-Wouldn't some more classics in their airlines new colors (a la the Delta L-1011 or Martin 404) be a treat? I remember last year someone made a great TWA 707 in their 1996-2001 colours for me.... So what about a DC-8 in Delta's and UAL's new colours, or a Caravelle in SAS, Air France current colours, VC-10 in BA new colours , etc?

Or how about bringing past liveries to today's planes, such as a Delta OOC 777-200? (I know I e-mailed Mike about this....sorry if I'm bugging you.)

Ok, dug out some of my older works (1999) and one is a DC-8 in new (Chelsea Rose) BA colors. Figured you'd like to see that one if you didn't a few years back. Also 3 others. The quality on these are pretty bad since they were done in my early years...

Enjoy!

That WN 757 looks SWEET! Once again, great job.

I know you already did a couple of my requests, so I don't want to "hog" the spotlight, but I figure there's no harm in asking either:

Midway (new colors) 737-200, or 717

AirTran MD-80

Continental (gold tail/red meatball) 757 or 767

PSA MD-90

Republic 717 (grey/burgundy livery)

USAir rust colors 757

United MD-80 (stealth OR three stripe, or both!)

New requests from me...
Delta OOC 777-200
Delta OOC 767-400
USAir or US Airways L-1011
USAir (red & blue) A320
NWA 727-200 (may have been requested already)
NW Airlink EMB-120

I think a Delta L-1011 in the Landor scheme, like Deltadude8 mentioned, would be cool.

It's been fun watching everyone digitizing their "fantasy" aircraft. Lots of creativity. Mike you do a great job! I have been dabbling with creating "new" liveries using Adobe Illustrator 9.0. I really enjoy this, it allows me to draw the aircraft, and then I can create "masks" for various color scheme attemps.

Here is one I made of an "Air Fiji" MD-90...your thoughts are appreciated!
