Who Is TransMeridian?

Thu Aug 21, 2003 3:32 am

Last two times flying out of SAT, I've seen a TransMeridian 727 parked at the Mexicana gate... who are they?

Here is their website. They are primarily a charter airline, but I think they do a limited amount of scheduled service. You can read about them here:

They are a mainly charter airline, based out of ATL.

Recently, they started scheduled service from RFD to LAS and SFB; FLL To SYR; PIE to SYR; SJU to SFB, SYR and TOL. They run 5 722's and 4 757-200ER. Right now they want to add to their fleet, but have been somewhat silent on what aircraft they'll add.

From San Antonio, they are doing Funjet charter work to/from Cancun and Cozumel.

Just flew them via funjet from MCI to CUN. Great flight, 757-200. I believe that they just recently started their non-charter service within the last couple of months?

I had no problems, in fact, the plane was in Funjet Logos, with no mention of Trans Meridian.

Rgds,

Greg
