Here in ALB it would be nice to see FL and B6...with our runway extensions (one done, one soon to start) maybe that will be a possibility.
Other than those, some int'l service would be nice: BA, AF, VS etc.

For SFO:

Aer Lingus
Air New Zealand
Alitalia
Emirates
Finnair
SAS Scandinavian
Swiss International
Thai Airways International
Iberia
Qantas
Varig Brazilian

I think Aer Lingus and maybe Emirates are the most likely . . . I know both routes are under consideration. SWISS is the least likely I would assume.

I live 5 minutes away from ORH (Worcester, MA)...I's like to see any airline come back. Pre 9/11 we had a pretty good schedule: 2 AA Eagle ERJ to ORD; 3 DL Connection to ATL; about a half dozen US ex. To PHL on Dash 8's and a Daily Pan AM ( I don't know where to, but eventually went to Orlando). This airport is in a city of almost 200,00 people... For those of you who have never heard of the city it is the second biggest in all of New England...It is really sad that it has no commercial service any more  Sad.....So Pleeeeeeeeeeease someone come back

I'd also like to see more flights come into AHN (Athens, GA)...They are only served by 3 daily B1900 to CLT....One of the landing paths comes right over the UGA (GO DAWGS, sorry had to add that), it would be cool to see some RJ's coming in....But I know that my never happen, being only an hour from ATL and it seems that's all people fly down here.

Here are some semi-realistic additions I would like to see here at Tallahassee, FL (TLH):

Restoration of Airtran mainline to ATL
Restoration of USAirways mainline to CLT, or at least RJs to replace the props
American Eagle to MIA, DFW, and ORD
UA Express RJs to ORD and IAD
USAirways RJs to DCA
Southwest to anywhere

Washington, DC is a popular destination from TLH, so any flights there would be welcome.

For may other "home" airport, Tampa (TPA):

Alaska to SEA
Lufthansa to FRA or MUC

Bill in ATL

My hometown airport is SFO and I have really missed seeing Southwest here. I would love for them to come back. I still get to see them coming in over the Bay, but they are headed for OAK  Sad

I also want Alitalia & Finnair to reinstate service.

I'd like to see Air Jamaica, BMI, South African, Qantas and Air New Zealand add service. I know it's an odd lot, but I think those are some of the best-looking planes out there.

I also want JetBlue to add SFO, because I love flying them, but hate driving to SJC or OAK.

AirTran-launch nonstop service to ATL and MCO
AS-launch nonstop mainline service to SEA (route under consideration)
F9-launch nonstop mainline service to DEN
HP-launch nonstop mainline to AS / KLAS), USA - Nevada">LAS and PHX
US-launch nonstop mainline to CLT and PHL as well as RJ service to DCA.

Southwest to BWI, MCO, and MDW

GFK/FAR (school):

Sun Country -> MSP
UA (mainline) -> DEN

I know these are long shots but DC-9s every few hours put me to sleep. Luckily at FAR today, I caught the United CRJ. It is always there, but we don't see those back home. But this is what I would like to see there:

MSP:

jetBlue or any other LCC would be welcome (at least by me)...

But how about aircraft?

I would enjoy something along the lines of 757 or greater from UA, AA, US, or ATA. Dreaming- more wide-bodies. That's all I can come up with now. Maybe more later.

(Southwest already serves STL/MDW/BHM/BWI/TPA/MCO/are there more? from SDF....

Yes there is also nonstop service to LAS and PHX.

Yeah.... I know those two, just sort of left them off for some reason. I think already mentioning that I wanted PHX or LAS from HP made me forget them.

For PVD, I'd like to see (realisticlly):

Frontier: (2x DEN 318)

SONG: (CO / KMCO), USA - Florida">MCO, FLL, PBI, TPA any freq. would be great)

Jetblue: (5x JFK 190, and whatever else that is within reason)

America West: (2x PHX 319, 1x LAS 319)

"pipe dreams:"

BA to London (prefer LHR)

AF to Paris (prefer CDG)

Additional service on existing airlines:

FLL: WN

MIA: AA

HOU: WN

IAH: CO

STL: WN

LAS: WN

SJU: AA, US (sat/sun service would do well)

PBI: WN

MYR: Hooters

RDU: AA Eagle

DEN: UA

Having said that, I think we should all be lucky to keep whatever services we have now until things improve, as PVD is right between ORH (Worcester, MA and GON (Groton/New London, CT), which have both lost almost all airline service this year. I guess it's nice to dream though!

For Wichita, I'd like to mostly see more frequencies and/or larger equipment being used by the current airlines as the economy improves. More specifically:

Northwest: I'd love to see Mesaba back here. I'd like to see earlier flights back to Memphis and nonstop service to Detroit. DTW service is probably what I want most in ICT right now.

AirTran: We got the afternoon flight back, but it came back as JetConnect, I'd like to see it upgraded to a 717 eventually.

Delta: more frequencies to/from CVG (especially an afternoon/early evening flight back to ICT), and perhaps something other than a CRJ-100/200, perhaps a CRJ-700 or FRJ
More of the ATL flights operated by Comair or perhaps an upgrade to a CR7 or MD-88 (the latter probably won't happen)

US Airways: I'd like to see them back here, with Express serivice to PIT, DCA, CLT, or wherever.

My home airport: EWR

More United: They have 8 gates, why not use them all???? I would like to see MIA again, SEA again, BOS again, MCO again and more 777 and 767's to LAX and SFO.

More American. Wish they could have more services out of EWR as they do out of LGA and JFK.

Aussie747, add to that list MEA (BEY-KUL-SYD)
I believe their new A330's are capable of flying BEY-KUL in one hop?!

GF's return is certainly something to wait for. Hopefully they'd expand soon after, back to MEL after a year and half away!

It will be nice to see Qatar Airways heat up the competition by extending their KUL flights into SYD-MEL.

AMX,

Whoops, you're mostly correct, they serve HMO out of TUS three times weekly. I travel in and out of Tucson frequently and haven't seen them in a long while, and Aerolitoral now serves the run as well, so guess I assumed that they were gone. Love their airplanes, hope they pick up some more flying out of TUS!

Depends on what you would deem as "my airport"?

I live in St. Albert, Alberta which would reasonably give me 3 airports:

1) St. Albert (3200' gravel)
2) Edmonton Municipal
3) Edmonton International

1 (a) Not sure, live 8 miles from it, never have not seen what it looks like. (Shame on me!)
2 (b) The "re-opening" of the airport in general would be lovely thank you very much Edmonton Airports Authority.
3 (c) Air Canada, our national airline! (Those that live in Edmonton know what I'm talking about, those in Calgary don't!)

Here is when life was good at Edmonton Muni.!

Here at PDX:

Domestic -
US Airways to PHL and CLT
Jet Blue to JFK and FLL

International -
Any of these five:
JAL or ANA to NRT
Korean to ICN(Asiana highly unlikely due to SEA service)
China Eastern to PVG (these last two are REAL stretches)
Cathay Pacific to HKG (theres always YVR I guess *sigh*)

We already have service to Europe from LH but BA would be nice too.

For Nice:

Service to another US gateway - CO/EWR, AA/ORD - or direct service to BOS(nobody hubs there, which is a shame).

EI/DUB in time to connect to/from North Atlantic flights. NCE-DUB does (5 minutes within MCT - way too fine when the aircraft does not overnight in NCE, and the chances are that NCE-DUB will be delayed by the incoming acft ). DUB-NCE leaves before the JFK/BOS flights arrive, so you can't connect back - its a shame, because NCE-DUB-BOS is about the shortest way to get there (owing to 2 hour MCT at LHR vs 45 minutes at DUB)

Another Middle East carrier to provide some competition to EK (very expensive)
QR/DOH, ME/BEY, GF/BAH-AUH-MCT (especially if any of them start flying to Oz), RJ/AMM

A Far East carrier - SQ/SIN, TG/BKK

Any LCC competition for BA to BHX/MAN

AF service to LHR or more BMI flights to LHR for them to codeshare on. 2 a day at rubbish times does not cut it. BA have that route locked up.

LN/TIP
MS/CAI
OA/ATH

AF flights to Africa (West/South)
AF DOM/TOM flights (Caribbean, Indian Ocean) - they all go from MRS/LYS

At HAM, I would first of all like to see some transatlantic traffic again. It would be nice if Delta returned for example. We would be happy about any American carrier though...

Also, the Senate of the State of Hamburg is pushing for a direct connection to China because a lot of Chinese companies have their European HQs here. It would be nice to see any of them at HAM.

Airtran (717's, yay!) into SEA.

Also AS into SLC.

ABQ...

New service with new carriers I'd like to see.

Airtran 2x daily to ATL 717
Alaska 2x daily to SEA 73G
USAirways 1x daily to CLT 1x daily to PHL 319

New service with existing carriers I'd like to see.

Continental 1x daily to EWR 73G
Delta bring back red-eye flight to ATL leaving @12:45AM 738
Northwest 1x daily to DTW 319
United 2x daily to ORD 319

I agree totally with PVD757...

I think PVD could realistically see:
Song to MCO FLL PBI TPA
jetBlue to JFK
Frontier to DEN
AirTran to ATL

and existing carriers to open:
Continental to IAH
American to DFW MIA
Northwest to MEM
United IAD (mainline)
Air Canada CRJs instead of Jazz Dash-8s

how about Icelandair?

My other 'home' BGI (Barbados):
Air France to CDG (continuation of a PTP or a FDF service?)
KLM to AMS (continuation of a SXM or AUA service?)
Delta to ATL
Continental to EWR
Lufthansa to FRA
BWIA to ORD? LAX?

...just some ideas
