I just flew EasyJet a couple of weeks ago from Stansted to Bilbao. Never again!

I would have been better off flying a schedule from LHR.

The Checkin wasn't EASY (2:15 hrs in the queue)
The trip to Stansted wasn't EASY
The price for a cup of tea aboard wasn,t EASY
The delay wasn't EASY (180 Pounds)
And the Fare!!!.. Far from EASY. I could have got an IB flight from LHR for just 20 quid more.

EASYJET- Not EASY.

But I hear that RYANAIR isn't too bad

Boeingholiday, how do you check the veracity of an individual's comments with respect to an airline they have flown ? (I mean ANY airline, not just LCCs)

Would it not be better to poll people at airports rather than online, as I did for one of my university research projects? I don't want to sound arrogant, but gathering data from anonymous sources on the internet is not very professional, and can lead to biased results very easily.

and can lead to biased results very easily.

And WILL lead to biased reports easily. The people visiting these forums are by no means representative of the population. There's nothing else but airplane enthusiasts in here so your sample will be very biased if it consists of only people in this forum.

Yes, I forgot to add.

Please don't take this as arrogance, I am only trying to help you and be constructive by saying don't do this, it's a mistake.

I also completed a research project on LCCs as part of gaining my university degree/diploma/whatever-you-call-it in June.

The reason I specifically DIDN'T ask people online, and especially any enthusiast site: 1) No way of verifying whether annonymous people actually ever flew 2) Enthusiasts will complain or exaggerate or praise more than the normal pax (we could argue about this, but this is the conclusion I have come to, whence comparing my thoughts to my friends').

That's why I don't bother checking these online airline surveys....

Just some good advice: ask the airport authorities and/or visit 2 or more airports, and ask people there. BAA allowed me to interview people at STN, and Luton Airport were happy when I approached them too...

By all means, ask people here too, but please be careful about classing their responses as a primary source of information....at best, it's tertiary or even anomalous  Big grin

I might have an option to fly Germanwings from Madrid to Berlin via Cologne/Bonn if my flight to WAW is full. Of course I would then have to take a train to Warsaw.

I just recently flew FR from Stanstead to Barcelona(Girona).
There the flight is met by a coach for an additional fee. It was an hour ride into Barcelona from Girona.
Flight was fine except it was a hike to Stanstead.
I failed to realize that FR unlike Easyjet flies into the next closest major city, which isnt always such a great thing.
However the flights were on time and uneventful.

AirJamPanAm - how much did the coach cost from GRO to the centre of BCN?

[email protected] The coach was 8 Euros each direction I believe.
I have to admit the Coach is timed to FR flight times, so there is no worry in that regard.
