El-Al 737-700/800 Seats

Thu Oct 02, 2003 6:25 pm

I'm due to fly with El-Al from Tel-Aviv to Zurich and back on their 737-800 (to) and 737-700 (back).

I know that one of the rows has a "blocked" window seat- i.e. seat next to the window but with no actual window. My agent booked me seats 13F on the outbound (737-800) and 15F on the return (737-700). Does anyone know whether any of these two rows contain the "blocked" windows? Many thanks,

Hey RonE,

I flew with El Al B737-700 (4X-EKD) last month from Tel Aviv to Amsterdam.
I was in seat 19F, over the wing in a window seat on the right. The coach seats on the LY737NG are very comfetrble, and the entertainment is good as well, but I can't answer you about the "blocked" window seats, I didn't see it when I flew.
Maybe you can take a look at the EL AL website or on an EL AL timetable to see the plane configuration.

Thanks Jonathan B!

If I remember correctly I think it ir row 12, but I don't know if its the same for all the 737's and if that's the only row....

BTW, they don't have seatmaps at the El-Al websites (I would gather for security reasons)

I flew many times with the 738 of EL AL.
I remember on the 4x-eka, it was on row 12.

Really nice and comfortable cabin, especially the C class.

If you are coming back with a B757, ask for row 16 or 17, they have the emergency doors with a lot of legroom.

Have a safe trip

Hello everybody,

Yes I can confirm that is not on row 13 (on the 738) because I was on it (12E) 1 week ago...

Thanks a bunch you guys, you've been of great help!

Sabena_a340- my condolences.

Ly334- yes, I also flew a couple of times on the 738 but it was a few years ago so I just didn't remember the seat numbers. Very comfy seats indeed. The 757's in contrast are more like what El-Al used to be like in the "bad old days", sardine can configuration.

Alonk- thanks for the additional info.

If we are already on the topic, what about the 747, 757, 767 and 777?
Never been on 747 or 777 of El-Al's but I do remember on the 757 row 11 is "blocked" and row 7 too I think but I'm not sure, and on the 767 rows 25 and 26. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Any additional information would be useful for the future.

Thanks again!
