No, UA does not fly to Tel Aviv. The most recent US carrier into that market is Continental (with 777s I think) from Newark.

Nope...unfortunately, UA doesn't fly to Tel Aviv (I don't think they have in the past, either). It would be nice if they did, however with these "wonderful" (I'm being sarcastic here!) alliances, I doubt it will ever become a reality.

Mish1234,

In 1997 I flew to Tel Aviv on none other than Balkan Bulgarian Airlines. It was from JFK on a 767-200 with an overnite in Sofia, and a flight onward on a 737-300. The flights were nice, though no English translation of the movie was available, and you couldn't beat the price!

US is code sharing with LH on FRA-TLV. LH is operating daily. The conex ex the US are quite good. So it does'nt make much sense for UA to fly themselfs.

My favorite way to get to TLV now is on Air Canada thru Toronto on their A340s.

ok this is for all..

Air Canada... dosent fly there A-340 aircraft to TEL AVIV cause they got there Boeing 767-300 to do that already! I asked long before I was gonna book with them but didnt after all..

EL AL .. umm.. its driect.. not bad..

Lufthansa.. u have to always connect at Frankfurt and u fly in on a Airbus 321.

Cont. Airlines.. Boeing 777-200 every 2 days I think.
TWA.. almost crashed this summer in Israel but landed safely.. they operate the Boeing 767-200 out of Israel.

LH is only operating some flights with the A321 (MUC-TLV) , FRA-TLV is always operated either by A340 or by 747-200. As of Sommer schedule they will have all 747-200 flights except MUC-TLV on A321.

Happy new year

Unless it was a "special" flight to increase capacity during the heavy tourist season to Isreal, I swear I was on an Air Canada A-340.

I usually fly many times/year, this year a grand total of 7 times for business. I've flown them all: British thru Heathrow, Alitalia thru FCO, Olympic thru ATH, Iberia thru MAD, Swissair thru Geneva, and even on an American-Cyprus Airways-El AL flight with connections at Heathrow and Larnaca.

By far the best was Air Canada.

CO flies every day. I also doubt if UA would fly to Tel Aviv, but it would be nice if they would....The777Man
