I'm going from Stavanger(SVG) to Pensacola(PNS), later this spring. I hope to get on a 777 or744, but all local travel agencies will send me trough AMS and MEM with KLM MD11. I know Delta flew 777 between AMS and ATL last summer, and that they also fly 777 between LGW and ATL. They might lie to me because of special deals and more money earned when sending me with KLM, so I'm wondering if anyone out there can help me.

Thanx in advance

Vidar :-)

Flying Air 2000 On 4th January

Sun Jan 02, 2000 12:21 pm

Quite Appropriately, I'm flying Air 2000 from Manchester to Tenerife on the 4th of January. The flight, AMM431C is sheduled to be operated by a 757. I'm returning on the 11th. I'm hoping the flights will be on G-OOOG, G-OOOV or G-OOOX, they're the only AMM 757s I haven't been on yet!

Well, since the Millennium isnt until 2001 (because there was no year "0"), you guys must be planning way ahead....

I still say the Millennium doesnt start until 2001. If there was a year "0" then it would start in 2000 (0 + 1000 + 1000 = 2000) but there wasnt a year 0. There was a year "1" though, so 1 + 1000 + 1000 = 2001. Thats all I have to say.....

Is this a topic about the aircraft you will fly or when the millenium starts.

Mine will be to San Francisco on the 14 from Richmond with a connection into Atlanta on an L1011. And a week after that I will be going to SLC with a connection in Cincinnati on a 763. I was going to take a flight on New Years eve but it was not possible cause of a reduction in flights.

Mine was an A-321 and both FMGC's (Flight Managment and Guidance Computers) failed during the descent. That does make life a bit more interesting for a little while. And the funny thing is, I don't even think it has to do with Y2K.

Millenium Flight- Done

Mon Jan 03, 2000 6:56 pm

Already in. Returned from Atlanta on DL 128 to Dublin overnight on 31 Dec/1 Jan. Only 26 passengers on a B767 due to probable fears by travellers about the bug.

Well they missed an experience.
