Does he have a tug or does he powerback the 707? Can a 707 power back? I am suprised he did not figure out a way to put a regular jetway in.. I guess he may not have ALL the money in the world. If his wife does his ATC work he should train the kids to load bags and drive the tug (if he has one)

I am surprised that the 707 doesn't look bigger. I thought that a 707 should look way larger compared to a house. But maybe the house is very big too!!!
Anyway, it's nice to see that both planes are parked like cars, and that they both have an exclusive path to the house.
Very, very nice. That's definetely my dream house!!!

Hey call me crazy but from someone who makes his living flying airplanes I'm not real sure that I'd want my "work" so close to me. I have to admit that the architecture though really ties in nicely with the planes. Good for him!

Simply amazing, what a real aviation lover! I envy him...do you think we'll ever see a B744 of his in the collection? A jetbridge at the house would have been a great touch! I wish him well with his house, looks GREAT!!!

The house exists and John Travolta lives in Ocala, trust me. According to my buddy he flies over often in his "huge jet with a red tail"...if only he knew...sigh.

The people I know who (claim to) have met him all say he's a real class act. I can believe it. Great asset to the aviation community!!

With all the money he has, why doesn't he have a bigger house?

The reason it looks fake is because the trees covering parts of the plane look edited or something.

Plus, why would you leave your jets outside?!?!

I somewhat agree with JB05. The trees on top of the tail look like they are out of place. Only thing it could be is VERY tall palms. But if anyone would have a house like this, it would be JT, so it probably is not fake.

On a recent trip, I noticed Mr. Travolta's 707 at the field where I landed; upon our return to fly home three days later, his Gulfstream was at the FBO, pretty much next to the 182 we were flying. I immediately recognized it as such, and told some acquaintances who were also departing from the same FBO. Teen-aged daughter excitedly asked the counter attendant if it was really JT's jet, and she politely responded that she could not discuss clients' personal information (with a wink-wink and a grin).

She did say that the owner of that plane was a very nice man, and that he was personable with everyone at the shop.

If I had not been so busy checking weather and filing my IFR flight plan, I might have though to take a picture of my plane with his. Oh well.

Travolta was on "Inside the Actor's Studio" last night. As some of you may also know, James Lipton is also a pilot, so the two of them talked shop for a while.

JT began flying at age 16, did all his work at Teterboro, pouring all his paychecks into his flight lessons. The guy is an aviation nut through and through. He just happens to have a little more $$$ than the rest of us. Come to think of it a lot of actors out there are aviation nuts... Randy Quaid and Harrison Ford come to mind as well.

I'm quite humble and due to that I never exposed myself to you guys about my house. I have an airport too with a nice 50's architecture with my two private airplanes, I have a DC-8-43 and a Gulfstream II, I preffer the "smokers", it's more fun and give an excelent effect when you take-off or land, and by the way it's better to my wife when she checks out if I'm on my way, she can see from miles of distance were I come and have dinner ready on time!!!

I live very near this house/area. It was just built in Ocala, FL. I don't know exactly where it is in the subdivision but it isn't a fake! His wife was talking about it on TV some months back...

You are correct..... His Gulfstream is a GII-B. I used to live in Bangor, ME near Travolta's summer home and they would keep it in our hanger when he was in town. I will say, for as old as it is, it's in great shape. The 707 was once a hidious maroon and brown.....!! Thank goodness he had it painted. I moved from BGR before it was painted, so I have only seen the 'Qantas' colors in person.
