The 2 345's remain in
AC colours in temp storage at Chateauroux, France. Airbus has talked with Emirates, Qatar, Iran Air, SAA & Air Tahiti Nui about them.....but so far no takers.
The 345 has limited appeal...its payload is not much greater than the 343 although its range is MUCH greater. Hence the only worthwhile routes are high yield long/thin routes (beyond the range of the 343) of which
AC has none.
The status of the 3 ordered 346's is also up in the air as
AC has not publicly indicated that they are taking them yet.
I dumped at the gybe mark in strong winds when I looked up at a Porter Q400 on finals. Can't stop spotting.
