707, 727, 737, 747, 757 - beautiful noses - but sorry, the tripple-7-nose is totally ugly!

Indeed you do step down on the 757 cockpit. I almost fell several times on the 757/767 cockpits when I worked for AA. I think the AC is wonderful. The BIGGEST problem I had with the 757 is that when I was a gate agent we got a complement of only 2 agents to work the departure on an AC that seated not to many fewer than a 767-200. When the flight was full or oversold it was a nightmare! One time I was working a ORD-LAX 757 departure. It was bizarre. It was the first time I had a celebrity check in that I cared about! It was George Takkei (Sulu of Star Trek fame!) I had to go on board for some reason or another. The aisle was a mess with everybody trying to put carryon away. I finally made it toward the end of the very long cabin. A young women was looking very distraught and asked me if any more passengers were going to be on the flight. I told her that every seat would be taken. She almost burst into tears. That's the only true negative of the 757. Just one aisle for that many pax! My favorite aspect of the 757 is how steeply and quickly that plane takes of! Just about vertically compared to the 727/737 planes of that era.

I have to agree flown in the 75's jumpseat lots and the plane and its nose is perfect and you might say cute anyway here are some great shots of her nose!

I may be one of the few here who think this, but I think the 757's nose is ugly. I never liked the idea of a step-down cockpit and the windows are way too low. It looks like an anteater. The DC-10/MD-11 and the 767 both have beautiful noses!

757 is just a tiny bit reminiscent of the Concorde from the right angle.
I think this is due to the narrow body in combination with long landing gear struts. I imagine Boeing made the 757 a bit "taller" in anticipation of the tail clearance requirements of the -300.
Both do have that aggressive look from the front - I would tend to characterize it as "mosquito-like".
