United: Come fly the friendly Skies.

that would be why they used to call all their planes Friendship 727 etc.

LOL. I don't think I've seen that one in the States, but VS has definitely had some clever ad campaigns. The funniest one I can remember was on bus stops around the city, with Mike Myers as Austin Powers saying "Five times a day, baby!" (advertising the 5 daily flights from NYC to LON). Also, when they announced the codeshare with CO, there was a full page ad in the NY Times saying something about how the airlines' relationship was based on mutual respect, blah blah blah. The picture showed Richard Branson and Gordon Bethune, each holding two fingers over the other's head.

America West used the slogan "What we serve is you" for many years (I can still remember the radio jingle). I remember reading somewhere that the slogan sounded cannibalistic when translated into other languages...

I always enjoyed Delta's "we love to fly and it shows." Later, they used "you'll love the way we fly" but that slogan doesn't sound as good.

Not classic because it's never been used, but Easyjet or Ryanair should adopt:

1) Easyjet.com - and you're there; or

2) Ryanair.com - and you're there.

Here's an o l d i e for BWIA:
"Let's Take The World On, Together!" - always hated the "We Are The Caribbean" slogan written on the fuselage...

...was AA's "The On-Time Machine" a slogan, as such?

We would be remiss if we did not mention one of the original Southwest ads, with a flight attendant standing in the middle of the screen saying, "I'm Debbie. Fly me." The airplane then took off.
Also, "If you're afraid to be seen flying the airline with the lowest fares, we'll give you this bag for free." Mr. Kelleher proceeded to put a paper bag on his head, with money spilling out of it.
And finally, to advertise WN's frequent service between DAL-HOU, they used a classic Willie Nelson song. "If you've got the money, I've got the time."

Just a few Texas favorites, take care

Darn, someone already mentioned Western, but I think it's more correct to say "The o-o-o-only way to fly" (remember the bird sitting on the tail?)

From yesteryear, there's also PSA - "Catch our smile".

Now I have to go check my stash of timetables, etc. for more...

What the heck..they don't have to be just classics...these are all bringing back some great memories and great laughs.

How about
Air France - The Concorde Airline
Midway Airlines (v1) Our Spirit Will Lift You
Spirit Airlines - Catch the Spirit of Spirit Airlines

And it is not a slogan, but some great music that is identifiable with an airline:

TWA - Frank Sinatra .. Up up and away
United - Rhapsody in Blue
British Airways - Delibes's aria from "Lakmé", better known as "The Flower Song"

Thought of a few more ---

PSA: Catch Our Smile
PSA: California is all Smiles
North Central: The Route of the Northliners
Southern: Nobody's Second Class on Southern
(yeah right, they were all third and fourth class)
 Smile

I thought Piedmont had some, but can't think of any.

Delta: Delta is My airline.

was in the beginning an employee slogan but was adopted as an advertising campaign for a while.

"Fly Widget Fly"
"Service and Hospitality from the Heart." (C. E. Woolman, Delta airlines first CEO and founder.)

Continental - "One airline can make the difference"

or as I use to say "Six merged airline can't make a difference"

This was in the late 80's early 90's when CO merged a bunch of airlines,
CO,Frontier,NYAir,Eastern,PBA,TexasAir

Cb777,

Well, Eastern wasn't really part of that merger.

It was CO, PE, the original Frontier (which had been merged with PE), Texas Air had taken over CO already, retaining the CO name, and New York Air, the best of the whole bunch!!!
