What Would Be Your Airline Fantasy?

Sat Jan 10, 2004 4:57 pm

Whats your dream come true or fantasy for the airliner world

Mine would be the reinstatement of 727 service on all the majors.

Followed by widebody and international service to BUF.

and of course. To be a pilot.

I think a specialty airline featuring a fleet of 'classic' jet aircraft such as: B-707, B-727, B-747-100, L-1011, DC-8, DC-9, DC-10, A-300, Dassault-Mercure etc. would be great so we could get a chance to fly in aircraft we may have never had a chance to. Even if it was operated for group charters or 'scenic' tours (a.k.a. just for fun flights) since larger jets aren't the best for sight-seeing. Smile

All 707's, DC-8'S, DC-9's, 727's, L-1011's and MD-11's back into service. Delta open up a LAS hub. TWA to rise again along with STL. AA to make MCO Hub.

There were a few more pictures of the girls in the data base, but I didn't know if there was a size limit in each post!

Dazultra:

OK, we take the girls on the Concorde, can we take the food also?

1) One that i SERIOUSLY hope will come true: LH to stop introducing CRJs instead of 737s/Airbusses all over the place in Europe!!!!

2) A real FANTASY: the efficiency on the ground of Lufthansa, the cabin staff of Air France, the amenities and seats of Singapore, the network of Star Alliance, the prices of Ryanair - all in one airline!

One I hope will come true:

United rising and emerging from chapter11 stronger than before, hiring hundreds and hundreds of F/A´s, also for the FRA and LHR bases in Europe, so I can apply and hopefully will be invited for training and employment!

Also Delta soon to (again) become No 1 airline in passengers enplaned or maybe even No 1 at all!!!

Real fantasy:

BRING BACK MY BELOVED L1011-TriStar INTO SERVICE!!!

My fantasies would involve time travel:

1. TWA transatlantic on a Constellation.

2. BOAC VC-10 to anywhere.

3. CPAir orange DC-10 across the Pacific.

4. London-South Africa on a multi-stop Comet.

5. To fly an Ozark Airlines DC-9-30 from Peoria to Washington Dulles just one more time.

I'm really surprised. Most people seem to dream about old aircrafts. My dream is a big and cost efficient airline with three major hubs in Europe and with these ac types:
  • A380

  • A340

  • A330

  • A321

  • A320

  • A319

  • EMB190 or 195

  • EMB170

    I like UA744Flagship's idea.  Smile

Seriously though, I'd like to see some of the inflight service return, like it was pre-deregulation. I'm talking about cooked to order steaks in Y class, free drinks, and people who dressed above sandal's, tank-top, and bermuda shorts.

To own a fleet of 744's all equipped with only First Class equipment (200 Fully Reclining Sleeper seats, 2x2x2 config each equipped with personal touch screen 17" TFT's and DVD players. DSL Net connections, WAP/LAN/WAN facilities) and furnishings by Conran where no demand is too great and every whim catered for.

Oh, also each 744 would be equipped with a VidConference Room.

To have FA's who are super efficient and courteous, not to mention devastatingly good looking and sexy as hell. Female attire will NOT include trousers, a woman especially a gorgeous woman should look like a woman therefore mini skirt suits are the choice, possibly by Burberry's or a cool Scottish Tartan.

Flights would be to all major cities around the world with LAX, JFK, SYD and LHR, oh and either Singapore or Tokyo as the main hubs.

All flights longer than 7 hours would be $3500.00 round-trip, after five flights you'd get one free anywhere across the network. Shorter flights over 1 hour $1000.00.

Don't ask me how I would finance all of this, it is a fantasy after all.

You got my vote there on Pan Am and Eastern, two sorely missed airlines especially the great Pan Am.

I like the idea with the Concordes and the Hooters Girls Big grin
But I'd have to say a fleet of A380's decked out with double beds, the whole fuselage painted gold and the Airline called Golden Wings or First Class Airways... lots of IFE, extremely attractive female FA's, lots of lobster and champagne, a casino and bar..... ok I better wake up now  Yawn

That WN offered truly low airfares and appeared as though it was indeed a low-cost carrier.

An airline with Connies, Dakotas, DC-6's, Convair's and such planes would be nice. Of course, with Ryanair fares!

Fantasy one: buy PanAm 3 and modify the name to PanAm Vintage Air. Keep the logo, but make it a bigger airline with reconditioned 707s (re-engined with PW JT8Ds)maybe Tay-re-engined 727s and 747 classics (100s if possible). Make it an airline of class and elegance, even in economy.

Fantasy two: Kilt Air. Pilots and f/as wear kilts as part of the uniform, there are several channels of pipe music to listen to, and the fleet is made up of MD-11s for long range!
