What do you guys think of ther codesharing agreement between HP and Hawaiian?

Too broad a question. Obviously, it gives HP access to Hawaii and HA access to most major mainland markets.

And before anybody declares this marketing agreement a huge success/HA will add a second PHX-HNL flight, let me point out:

- In November, only UA and HA were selling tickets for HNL-Mainland on January 3; you couldn't even purchase a full-fare First Class ticket on other airlines. UA's price: RT$4000 for DTW-HNL. HP/HA's price: RT$695 (prices include all taxes/fees). In fact, the $695 ticket could be purchased up until the day of departure.

- HP/HA almost always have the best price on flights to HNL. In fact, they're the cheapest (although DL matched I believe) in the DTW market by several hundred dollars.

this would be a good topic for the HA employees on to respond to that. if i remember correctly someone mentioned the HNL-PHX flts have been pretty full. I wouldn't doubt that w/ the connection possibilities in PHX w/ HP. it would be great to see an addt'l flight be flown between HNL-PHX. that could give the passenger(s) more flexability on choices of flights.

quick there code-share strictly for connections in PHX? or does it also include LAS as well? since HA has daily flights to LAS now thats another possibility for the passenger(s)

Right now the codeshare only covers connections from HP cities through PHX as well as transcon flights from BOS/NYC through LAX/SFO to Hawaii. LAS is not included in the current agreement.

This codeshare agreement is doing very in TUS we have many people connecting onto the PHX-HNL flight virtually everyday. Last I talked to one of our agents in PHX, they said the flights are very, very full...though they usually can get non-revs on, so it's probably running in the 80's or 90's% load factor. Over the Xmas holiday, they were overbooked for weeks.

Most HP cities are involved in the codeshare, and recently it has been expanded to include most CA cities as well. LAS is in there though in TUS only our PHX flights have HA flight numbers, not the LAS flight. It is most likely the PHX-LAS flights that are codeshared.

Catch a ride on a smile!
