Peyton Manning at ATL, June 1998. I was headed to ORD, he was checking in in front of me at curbside, headed to Indianapolis I think.

Of course, it was a Delta flight.

Many. Can't even think of them all. Once did a studio charter with 62 passengers to Las Vegas. 62 limos met them. That group included the Zucker brothers who did the movie "Airplane" Funny guys.

But the best was meeting Claudine Longet (what a sweetie) and Spyder Sabich just about two days apart. She was flying a C-150 and was asked to call the tower on arrival at SAN. He was flying an Aztec. She killed him a few months later.

Did anyone ever seat next to or in the same plane as Eminem??? That´s one of my dreams.

Eminem, Kid Rock, and Pamela Anderson have been known to frequent NW's DTW-LAX flights. I haven't had the pleasure with any of them, but did have Brandy across the aisle from me flying NRT-LAX (upper deck of a NW 742) and various Minnesota politicians up front between DCA and MSP.

Liked your statement about Robert Mugave, Leskova, quite a hilarious statement. I only wish I ever had a celebrity on board any flights I've taken. It truly would be fun to meet a famous celebrity on board....

I'm very excited, this is my first post to airliners.net since I joined as a F Class member. Once upon a time, when UA flew SYD-SFO, via HNL, I was on a double upgrade to F on the 742 and was seated in 4B. When I boarded, I noticed some very regal looking Polynesian ladies seated on the other side of the cabin in my row and two more in the center seats. (Remember this configuration in the nose, only two middle seats in the entire F cabin) And I thought I was the first to board, NOT. Well, curiousity killed the cat, so when I went to the lav later in the flight, I peeked on the manifest, since they used to post these in the galley. The ladies I was traveling with were none other than, the QUEEN of the Kingdom of Tonga, her lady in waiting, her granddaughter (cute little one) and her nanny. The Queen did not eat at all, only coffee and dessert (ice cream sundae, which the lady in waiting tried first before the Queen ate it). The asked for nothing and the little one slept most of the flight.

When we got to San Francisco, a F/A kinda blocked the exit so they could go out first, being royalty has its privledges. Security met them at the door of the airplane and kinda pushed them aside, one had a bunch of flowers for the Queen. The little girl broke lose and ran down the jetway yelling MOMMY MOMMY and it was funny to see one of the security guys go running after her. We actually deplaned around them.

Looking forward to more posts now that I am a member.

Sat next to Eddie Izzard on a flight from LHR-EDI and chatted to him most of the journey about the Apple iPod of all things. At the time I was thinking of buying one, and he was showing me how his worked and being very enthusiastic about it. The conversation continued all the way into the arrivals hall when quite a few adoring fans there reminded me just how popular he is.

Needless to say I did buy an iPod, and have to agree with Eddie - they're great  Smile

I had Richard Simmons in the row in front of me one time on a DL flight from CDG to ATL. I try not to speak about it too often though.  Big thumbs up

Cheers!

Saw Bjork on a Dragonair flight from Hong Kong to Beijing. She was reaching up for some luggage from the overhead bin. That was fun. A few others were with her - don't know who they were.

Once sat next to Roger Daltrey years ago on VS LHR - JFK.

It was really ironic because I had been on the same flight as our company's marketing director - he got Upper Class tickets, I was low down in the organisation and at the back of the bus where I belonged. However, I'm 6'5" tall and he's 5'6" tall and was kind enough to *insist* on swapping seats (what a top bloke to have as marketing director!).

When we got to JFK he was gutted as the Who were always his idols. I wish I'd known - I could probably have got a career point or two by finding him and insisting on swapping back!

Flying UA LAX-OGG in 92, I was traveling with my friend and his family to their home on maui when we saw maureen mckormick, aka marsha brady on the series the brady bunch.
my buddy brad and i wrote down the words to the opening song and asked her to sign it in the terminal upon exiting the jetway. she gave us a horrid look (which in retrospect, i would have done the same thing b/c no 16 yearolds males should know the entire brady bunch song) and said no very loudly.
when we made it to the baggage claim, my buddy and i started chanting, "BOYCOTT BRADY, MARSHA BITCH!"
that got a pretty good laugh from fellow passengers as apparently she upset some of the other folks flying fc.
cheers

I have seen George Burns at JFK once he had a huge cigar and was being
taken away in a wheel chair. I have also seen some local Chicago News anchors on my flights.

I sat in front of the Fab 5(Queer Eye for the Straight Guy) on a AA flight from Chicago to New York last year. Believe it or not they were seated in coach class.

Also on another flight from Chicago to NY(this time in first class on AA) I cant remember his name but it was the guy from one of the Lethal Weapon movies...the old chinese guy that owned the restaurant(Lethal Weapon 3 or 4 I believe) I sat behind him. Does anyone remember his name??

Plus when I used to work at JFK for IB...I checked in plenty of celebs. Michael Douglas, Cybil Shepard, Enrique Iglesias, Valeria Mazza, Spain's national soccer team, Jaleel White(Urkel), Celia Cruz, the Queen of Spain, the Prince and the Princesses of Spain, Mary Jo Fernandez....the list goes on.

SAN-MEM-STL Lute Olson (Arizona basketball coach) was on my NW 320 and DC9 on the MEM-STL route. Lute would remember it as out engine went out over southern illinois and we were greeted by quite a few airport personnel on the tarmac. Interesting experience nonetheless. Big thumbs up

I read a story in an aviation magazine about a bunch of Hells Angels flying on I think Northbest to a meeting. They were well behaved but drank a lot of beer on the flight.

His Highness, Prince Rainier of Monaco ...and all the royal Grimaldis (except the late Princess Grace)
American actors Goldie Hawn & Kurt Russell
the late American actress Claudette Colbert (met personally - my absolute favorite)
American Opera Diva Marilyn Horn (met personally - very lovely)
American tennis star John McEnroe
American actress Karen Black
Former Lebanese President Amin Gemayel
British rocker Mick Jagger
