Well, considered I've flown only one type of giant in my lifetime, the -772ER. The combination of PTVs, video screens, huge wingspan, and monstrous engines with monstrous power, six-wheel main-landing gears, I gots some B772ER, B772ER Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Hard one to answer, I like a lot of them but I'd have to say 777 series and 747 series....gotta love those big Boeings!

I like the ATR-72 and the MD-80.

If it has to be a widebody, then please make it a B767. I don't much care for the larger ones.... and the B757 I hate with a passion and try to purposely avoid booking (unless I can upgrade).

ATR? Oh my, make sure it's above freezing when you fly!

777 is the only plane I have never flown, sounds like a great plane!!

I like the MD-11 pretty nice comfortable, quiet ride. The L1011 was a nice ride as well, as for late I have came to love the 737-900, much nicer than the 757 in my opinion..

Still don't think you can beat the 747 though, flew one when I was young from JFK to Rome. What an aircraft..

On short- to medium-haul routes, I have taken a liking to the Airbus A320. It's a very comfortable plane and feels good to fly on.

Probably the A340. It's rather quite, spacious, and overall seems sleek and smooth inflight.

Just my opinion but, I love MD-88. I have flown a lot of those from Delta and have had some great take-offs with them. As well as the 727 (my first flight ever was on an AA 727 ATL -DFW Dec. 28 1999.

Note these are the only airliners I have every been on. Yeah I know very sad but hey we can't all fly every day. I also fly a lot with Delta thankfully as they are my favorite airline.

I like flying on the McDonnell Douglas DC-9 Series Aircraft. (-10 thru -95) Douglas built a fine aircraft.

My favorites are the DC9-30, MD-80 series, and MD-95 (717) The MD-90 was nice, but it seemed like it was lagging a bit on takeoff.

Without question, it has to be a DC-3. If you ever get a chance to fly in one, do it.

Overall favorite, by quite a wide margin: A340-300.

And I can only agree with ThirtyEcho - the DC3 is something that you just have to have flown on!

An absolutely beautiful aircraft that will definately be missed! I don't know what it is, maybe it's profiles that show a majestic bird, or the way it "THUNDERS" down the runway. Unmistakable sound that lets you know your in it's presence. R.I.P. 727
