Inflight Gambling

Fri Feb 06, 2004 3:59 am

I heard a couple of years ago that airlines wanted to introduce gambling as part of the PTVs entertainment but USA forbid it. Does anyone have it today?

I'm all for it - having snooker tables and roulette wheels on aircraft is great!

Seriously, I'll let others respond to PTV questions.

I think it would be a bad idea and is not really needed on a commercial flight, for starters FAs would probably be plagued with questioins on how to work the damn thing, then comes the people yelling when they win and getting mad when they lose, I feel all of this would not be good for other passengers, keep it simple and let people enjoy the flight.

And isn't hoping that your luggage shows up an easier bet?  Smile

Seriously, I'll bet there is a legal issue or two about it. And I can't think of a more troublesome combo than a passenger w/a drink or two in 'em losing, and raising a fuss.

This idea sounds like one of those private enterprises running schools and showing commercials during lunch break to the kids! PASS.
